  • Injury to one side of penis

I created an account here because all my google searches bring me here, but I haven’t found anything exactly like my issue.

I am 22 years old and healthy (exercise normally, healthy weight). About exactly a month ago I think I injured my penis. Basically while I was drunk hooking up with a girl I tugged on my penis really hard trying to get an erection after she couldn't get me up during foreplay. When I woke up the next day, my penis felt sore, and there were 4-6 black and purple dots on the head. Over the next few days, I wasn’t able to achieve any kind of an erection through fantasizing, watching porn, or manual stimulation, but the dark dots did go away. After about 5 days, I was able to achieve an erection through manual stimulation and reached orgasm, which was a relief, but the erection was very weak. It felt and still feels like the left side of my penis can’t get “up” like the right side can. It feels like it's trying to get hard on the left side but something is blocking it from happening (it's a weird sensation). However, the glans is still pretty sensitive and I can still reach orgasm because of this.

    Symptoms:

-black and purple dots on head of penis after initial injury, then went away
-left side of penis can’t get erect like the right side can
-tingling/itchy feeling at base of left side when trying to get an erection, almost feels paralyzed
-smaller left side of penis when half erections do occur (appears less filled with blood)
-drooping to the left/unevenness of erections
    -weak erections in general
-can't get erections as easily (don't occur spontaneously, need manual stimulation)

From what I've read, there are three things that I think could be wrong:

-Damage to a nerve on the left side of my penis causing there to be limited sensation and pleasure leading to weaker erection on this side.
-Damage to the corpus cavernosum tissue/blood vessels on the left side causing it not to fill with blood properly.
-Damage to a ligament on the left side

Pretty much what I’m asking is if anyone has ever had or heard of a similar problem, possibly as a result of PE? Has anyone ever had trouble getting it up on just one side? Or has anyone ever felt this tingling/itching feeling at the base? In the past, my erections have always been symmetric and strong with both sides going up at the same time with no curving or drooping. My current plan is to give my penis another month break from masturbation/sex and see if these issues resolve themselves. I figure if there was slight damage to blood vessels or tissue it can repair itself in that time, and if not I'll go to a urologist. I also don’t believe I have the hard flaccid condition. Are there any other problems that it could be? If you read this far, thank you, and I hope you have some advice to give.

The reason I posted this here was because I assume that my injury is similar to that of someone who did PE without warming up. I haven't seen much improvement in the last week of rest. The only positive sign was that I had a wet dream a couple of days ago, but it actually seemed to get worse after that. Other than that, I've had no spontaneous erections and no morning wood. The itching/tingling sensation in the left base of my penis still occurs from time to time but it seems to have mainly changed to a dull pain/numbness. My penis doesn't feel like it's connected to my brain, it just feels lifeless. My libido is non existent. My glans seems to still have sensitivity, so this gives me a little hope. I have an appointment with a urologist tomorrow. I hope it's not too late as it's already been a month and a few days since my injury, and I'm telling myself not to freak out until I've given it another month or two. It's just making me nervous because the clock is ticking.
