If the IC muscle.is what makes the penis jump up, then doesn't it mean the IC is weak when we cannot make the penis jump (this applies specifically to those of us that can hardly get or maintain an erection while standing, neither can we flex the penis while standing). So could our IC muscle be the culprit.
Also the exercises you talked about on this thread, are they to be done while sitting or standing? Because when you use words like downwards or inwards, i wonder what you mean because these terms mean different things in different positions.

Also for those of us with hard flaccid, is our IC muscle tight or weak?
Someone on reddit claims tightness means weak and that the IC muscle should be strengthened. This cured him.
However i wonder if strengthening a tight IC muscle does any good.
See the thread of the guy who was cured on reddit:

I apologize, but after going through this thread I don’t have a firm grasp on how to know I am training the IC.
Is it as simple as performing a RK when erect such that I am more engorged than normal (particularly the head), and then gently pushing my penis so that it angles left, and then repeating so it angles right?
What would be a good routine? 5 sets of 30 seconds left and 30 seconds right every other day?

Is this something someone with PreP should be looking into ? If i understand correctly to start doing a RK you can use the IC muscle to start the pushing/balloning effect because the IC is in the starting line to push out on the PC and then PB. if the IC is strong and you can isolate it correctly you should in logic be able to have anothe muscle to control the push on the other areas and 3 muscles are better than 1 for more control ? But you have to also be care to not over work it because then the IC will become too tense and not work at all. Is my logic correct ?

I also did not understand how to train this muscle, in what sense and with what exercises. It would be helpful to have more details given the importance of penis health

How do you go about this exercise?
Like I know how to kegel and how to reverse kegel. How do you 'kegel' this IC muscle?
Thanks

I think I have located and figured out how to use/train it.
Definitely easier with an erection.
I noticed that if my penis is semi erect and I engage this IC muscle, it pushes my penis into a pumped erection. So it's like ballooning the penis up. When the muscle is engaging I noticed my testicles rising as I tightened the muscles.
The pictures shown here should be checked out well and understood cos this helps visualization and connecting your mind to locating it when you attempt to do the exercise.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if done correctly, you can really feel the tension pressure on the sides of your penis but at the point around your pubic bone area where your penis comes out of your body?

I'm looking into training my IC muscle as well. I think I'm getting it. From my understanding, it is sort of like a kegel but where you only hold or try to hold the very beginning of the "movement." I seen the base of my penis go inward a bit but I can barely hold it for a second if that and if I try to hold it longer it usually turns into a full kegel.
Am I on the right track? And do I just need to work on trying to hold it longer without doing a full kegel?

I think i can also localise the IC by what everyone else says starting a kegel but very lightly and only by maintaining the start of the movement.
Would training this muscle help counter IKs because if it is strong you have more control and can counter them more easily while doing RKs ?

You guys may as well be speaking Martian. I haven't a clue what you mean by Kegels ... Seen an article by a medic saying they're "dangerous" for most men. Reverse Kegels, BC, HF, What are you on about ? Read a post by one chap who said he'd tried IC exercises and got a fast erection, which, when he tried again became almost painful. However, I haven't read a single post which actually tells you clearly, and succinctly, how the devil you go about finding your IC muscle, and then how to exercise it. One post said he thought "It was the clearest explanation of where the IC is located and what it does' ... sorry guys, but it was clear as mud for me. All I want to know is how you identify the IC muscle in your own penis, ie., what do you actually do ? Step by Step Idiot's Guide Style, and then how you exercise it to get a great erection ? Will someone please, please give me a clear, layman's explanation without all the BC, Kegel, Reverse Kegel stuff, in plain English.
