    Hey guys, so even though I have ejaculated plenty in the past 8 months I have not full on masturbated at all during that time. No stroking whatsoever. This is due to me trying to heal a nerve injury and my hardflaccid.

    I kind of feel like through not masturbating the tissue is not being used at all and therefore even more prone to some kind of atrophy. Penis was built to be used and I am not using it at all. I am dead afraid of masturbating though, as when I have tried int he past my numbness/pain become exponentially worse. What you guys think?

    Do you get erections still? I would imagine the "if you don't use it you lose it" thing applies to getting hard and not necessarily ejaculating. If you had gone 8 months without an erection then maybe I would worry about atrophy.

      Still get erections, albeit a lot weaker ones, but still get them. What I am concerned about is the fact the I am not giving the tissue cells enough movement to keep things flowing and functioning well, if that makes any sense (im a complete layman). Like with pe, you are stretching and therefore things are getting larger, so it feels like if there is never any manipulation then things might deteriorate some...,

          Yes, and they have no clue about hardflaccid or my penile atrophy... They prescribe viagra like its a cure-all and refer you to sex therapists.

            I have nerve damage too I'm in the 10th month and noticing alot of improvement. I only started to really notice improvement this month. My urologist told me, concerning masturbation, play it by ear and not to be worried if i don't get completely erect because it's healing. Why would doing what it's supposed to do make it any worse? think about people who have nerve damage in there legs they are prescribed physiotherapy and exercise programmes.

            Wouldn't go overboard with it though and rest when need be. I always thought of it like the penis needs to know whats expected of it in order to heal in the correct path.

            Obviously don't do any P.E. or whatever you did that caused the problem. Do you suffer from any pain? I had really bad sharp shooting pains up until the 9th month which have slowly been diminishing.

            If you can get even weak erections it's a good sign. If the nerves had lost continuity which is unlikely it would be completely lifeless. Read my post on nerve damage there's some good information in there.

            Hang in there it's a slow process and good luck.

              Thanks. My nerve damage has been going on for over 1 1/2 years. I got it from to much vigorous masturbation w/o lube.

              The thing that concerns me is the length of time I have had it with no real imrpovement in symptoms. WHen I first felt some damage I only took about 3-5 days off here and there but never gave it a complete chance to heal. I was naive about penis health.

              This concerns me as I didnt give things time to completely heal when injury first occured and because of that I believe things might be permanent, but Im hoping against hope they are not. I also have hard flaccid which is contributing to the situation. My loss of sensation is throughout the entire penis, but mainly noticeable in the glans..

                john, have you seen Wazza's recent thread about how he overcame his HF? I know your main concern is the nerve damage, but I want to help you any way I can. I know he did yoga, massage, and reverse kegels (among other things) to aid him in overcoming HF. Yoga is very beneficial to healing and you might find it very helpful for your situation as well.

                  Yes I have read the post.

                  Thing is, I cannot do any kind of real stretching or yoga as any kind of movement in the pelvic area like that irritates the nerve and makes the numbness worse. Even running, swimming make it worse. I feel like a hostage really.. Dont know what to do...

                    I feel for you man, so I did a little searching outside of PEGym, and found this. You may or may not have seen it, but obviously you are not the only guy suffering from penile nerve damage. One guy gave a list of the things he's doing to heal:

                    1. Stay off the bicycle

                    2. Do not let your penis flop around a lot (avoid running)

                    3. Take Male Reproductive Factors by Micheals
                    This has a ton of Zinc and B-Vitamins in it. Very good for erections.

                    4. Take Ginseng
                    This helps with erections.

                    5. Take Ginkgo Biloba
                    This helps with blood flow and erections.

                    6. Take Nerve Blend SP-14 by Solary
                    This helps repair the nerves and calms them down.

                    7. Take Organic Flax seed Oil
                    This helps repair and strengthen the nerves.

                    8. Take the cell salts Ferrum Phos., Kali. Phos. and Mag. Phos. by Hylands
                    Good for nerve growth

                    9. I am researching Advanced Yohimbe-Plus by Iwin Naturals
                    I think it may help, but have yet to try.

                    Don't give up hope, I know you've seen a doctor, but have you seen a urologist? If you haven't, you should try to find the BEST for such conditions as yours before going. Call around, ask them what they specialize in, use the internet, anything you can do to find the person that will most likely be able to help you get healed.

                    I've seen other guys on here going on about how urologists suck, but they probably didn't look for or find out about if they specialize in injuries such as theirs. In my opinion, a urologist might be your best option at this point. But DON'T go to just any. Good luck, and keep us posted.

                      sometimes I get a minor injury here or there I have to revert to a lack of vigorous sex/masturbation. during this time, I do not change any of the nutritional supplements that I take that are directed toward PE and concentrate on indirect/mildly direct forms of stimulation in order to maintain circulation and inhibit the possibility of any tissue atrophying. what I do is wear a very loose fitting cock ring under my entire package (cock and balls) and revert to my "memory bank" instead of watching porn due to the fact that it is too easy to become desentitized. I do a few sets of kegels to get the blood flowing and limit the physical stimulation to my glans and frenulum... which I do with my hands and other items such as a pillow. this option may sound slightly lacking in the ability to give an erection, but I have actually almost come to orgasm with extremely limited physical stimulation. the blood flow it great and once you have been able to control the level of your erection then you are able to rest a little easier in regards to the level of worry that you have with your penis degrading on the scale of overall health.
