  • Suspected self diagnosed nerve injuries

Hello members I would like to talk briefly about injuries and the panic and self diagnosing that goes on here. If you seriously suspect something is not right with your parts please see a specialist. Do not just start taking a grocery list of supplements and reading horror stories online to a point of not sleeping and losing interest in life. 2 doctors have told me unless there is serious trauma permanent damage is highly unlikely. All of the buzz about loss of sensation seems to be seriously exacerbated by panic and depression and almost definitely has a psychological origin at least partially. Nerves heal painfully slow but they heal. Also the whole don't touch it for months seams to not make much sense in the medical community unless your having pain. My docs both told me if there is no pain or evidence of physical injury, use it as much as you can! I'm not saying get involved in solo time all day but don't be shy to clean the pipes a couple times a week. The bottom line is there is great advice and people here but do not take anything online as a final word or solution. Admittedly no one here is a trained health professional. See your doctor. If they tell you time or abstinence will heal you, take their advice.
