If I hung 17 LBS with a Bib, do I need to start with low weight (3lbs) suggested by LG Hanger?
Id hate to take 3 more months to feel fatigue needed to gain. Thank you
I was just wondering the same thing as I just purchased the LG hanger. I'm only at 9.5-10.5lbs with a noose style hanger. I did a total of 3 hours in 20 minute sets with 9.5lbs with 0 fatigue. I'm gonna do a slow progression with the LG hanger mostly to just get used to the style of hanging it is. I think we would be able to progress rather quickly as I feel pretty conditioned to hanging. Starting small as a safety precaution to learn the device in order to prevent serious injury and blisters.

Yes this would be correct. It's a vacuum attachment that pulls more from the glans as opposed to a compression which pulls on the tunica. DEFINATELY start small, but you'll find you progress quicker.
Although your tunica may be well conditioned to the higher weights from the Bib your glans are not. You need to start off light to condition the glans, and especially the urethral opening, to the vacuum it will be exposed to in the chamber. The LG does actually grip the shaft with the silicone sleeve at the base of the chamber and the vacuum within it. The other thing you need to take into consideration is that the section of the tunica above the attachment point of a compression style hanger has not been conditioned to the stresses of the weight. With the LG this area will now be taking some of the load. If you feel that the glans are taking the brunt of the load then there is a problem with the attachment. Conditioning the glans, perfecting the wrap and attachment of the device are all part of the reasoning for starting up light when switching over to the LG.
The good thing is that with your prior hanging conditioning you should be able to advance in weight with the LG faster than a beginner. I was hanging around 18 lbs with the Bib when I switched over to the LG. I started at 5 lbs with it and worked my way up to 12 lbs over 5 weeks. Because I was now hanging for an hour straight, vs taking a break every twenty minutes, I felt I was reaching the point of fatigue at a lower weight.

That sounds exactly what I was thinking. Didn't consider the point above the hanger point not being conditioned. Great observation! Looking forward to no breaks!
Thank you for the replies guys. Curios about mixing the two. Maybe Bib on days off from the LG. Bib says hang everyday and LG recommends 3 on and one off I think to avoid blisters. Ive taken a day off here and there but concerned about toughening of the tissue making gains slower. Im cool with the long haul 3 year plan and enjoy the journey. I just want the most efficient work possible and not make PE more difficult. How often do you hangers take a day off?
You can hang everyday with the LG without any problems. In fact the 8 week suggested startup program on the back of the LG instruction manual doesn't say anything about taking days off.
I used to hang 7 days a week when I could but I'm now down to a 5 on 2 off schedule. The consensuses with the experts is that days off are a must with manual exercising for recovery and growth and it was suggested to me that it should work just as well as hanging also.
