Cock ring not working

I am recovering from prostate surgery. My nerves and blood flow have not fully recovered. When I use a constriction ring to maintain the erection I achieve with my VED my erection fades quickly.
My theory is that if I don't have natural blood flow going in with the constriction device on I will not be able to maintain the erection.
Am I correct?

No. The purpose of the cock ring is to prevent blood from leaving your erection. You need a tighter constriction band. I have severe diabetes induced ED and have found the Osbon tension band to be the most effective.

Sounds like the constriction ring is not tight enough as not2big stated, another possibility is you don't have the ring lined up properly on your shaft. The orientation of the ring is important for it to work effectively.

I have the UroStop constriction band that came with my VED. It is a piece of surgical tubing. I don't want to put a link to it because I think that is forbidden on the forum.

Like N2b has said try the osbon ring, as you may find it a lot better in the long run.

I do not think my problem is the ring. I am not getting an erection with the pump. I would say it is about 60%. I may not have the venous flow fully back after my surgery. Here is a picture of my ring. I saw it advertised on the erecaidpumps web site. I appreciate all of your help very much.

Never mind. It was confirmed by my physical therapist today that I do not have all my venous flow back yet and that I should not be using a constriction ring till I can get a full erection in the VED.

I don't think these really work, was sent one by a buddy of mine, , in the USA, go look at the osbon rings and your go wow, as there the real thing to use, but your having these problems cant really see why you cant use one, if your getting blood to 60% then why not all the way?

I have a Unysen battery powered vacuum pump that was prescribed by my surgeon. I have been using it daily to keep my penis oxygenated till I can get erections again.
