Thread: Malehanger got stuck

The washer between the device and the wingnut got stuck and wouldn't move for anything (the wingnut unscrewed easily but the washer stayed in place and would not budge). I was afraid I was going to have to find a hack saw or go the the ER to get the device off. Only when I was able to retighten the wingnut just a hair more did the washer come lose....if the device had been a been a hair tighter (i usually try to get it as tight as i can), not allowing for any movement at all, I'm really not sure what I would have done...other than panic. Any tips for avoiding this? How important is the washer? I may try the device without engaging the washer. Thanks!

See if you can find a smaller washer, maybe one that won't bind as that one did.
Thats some scary shit right there, would have made for an interesting trip to the ERGoing an inch and 1/2 deeper than before
