I've recently been experimenting with a stretcher (Thanks to calixto for his insightful posts) and have been wondering if I'm making the most of my sessions. I maintain a good head-swell while incrementally adding tension, but always stop adding when the head begins to appear "compressed" - the point of tension where, if the strap were loose, the penis would begin to slip through the harness. I can wear the stretcher like this for an hour+ without any pain or numbness. Can I increase the tension beyond this point? Or is the compressed head a sign that I should make that my max tension spot for now?

I've also recently been trying a stretcher (thanks to dangler and his good advice) and have a tension question as well. My bpfs is just under 5.7 so when I put on the extender I am already close to full tension at its shortest setting. My head starts to ache and become numb and cold after 1.5 hours and I have to remove it. I have been using for four days. When I purchased it at 4xlab I also ordered the "short dick" adapter. My question is: should I continue to use it as is and wait until my head becomes accustomed to this tension or should I switch to the short dick version until I grow into the standard version?

This may help, it shows "grams" used for tension.

Not2big, Go ahead & see what benefit you might see using the other mounting cradle, no harm there that I can see. I always try to avoid running on the borderline of pain, it is not worth it to me.

I agree with Dangler, try EVERYTHING. Experiment. I know I just published those articles about extenders here just a few days ago, but there is still so much to be researched about extenders, and I definitely feel that there are no "total absolutes" with extenders, as we all have different experiences. Like Dangler has pointed out, some days are just not as good as others with the extender.
Recently, I have had more consistency, and I largely attribute it to two factors.
1) Using self-made Velcro straps that can handle high tension and never slip, hence easier to keep my head-swell.
2) Being able to "jelq a head-swell" every time, thus taking out the guesswork whether I will be able to get good tension from having a head-swell.
This is what works for me, hope this helps you both RatPack and not2big.
Thanks for all your help also Dangler. Did you notice I gave you credit for creating the term BPXL in my article!?! Thanks brother!!

Thanks guys. I feel like a jerk. Switching to the shorter cradle was actually a no brainer. I guess my ego just didn't want to go shorter. I have it on now and its almost 2 hours and its just now starting to feel uncomfortable. However, let this be a lesson for you shorties out there. If your BPFS is under 5.75, you need to spend the extra $49 and get the shorter mounting cradle (4xLabs).
