So I decided I'm a lazy %$^, and thus want to do all my PE with devices. I am currently 6" x 5.25", and want to get to between 7.5" x 5.75" and 8" x 6". For who knows what reason, I can't buy a bathmate for 6"-8" in length, only 5"-7" or 7"-9".
I want to use the Phallosan Forte in tandem with the bathmate. How big of an issue would it be to get a size too big for my bathmate (the 7"-9" range), use it, and grow into it?
For reference my routine would probably include PF 6 days a week and BM 4-6 days a week, with a shared rest day. I would also do edging. And ofc I would ramp into this stuff - maybe taking 6-8 weeks to hit full intensity. And full intensity will be a sane, moderate intensity...

The diameter is more important imo.
If the diameter is too big you will get air leakage and skin getting pulled in

I would recommend you looking into air pumps or atleast a pump with a gauge. I believe peforever was leading you in a good direction but maybe not put the clearest way posible.
Now to address your prospective bathmate situation. The hydromax7 is the best size for you. I am 7.5in length and my stretched flaccid is hitting about 8 inches these days. In the hydromax7 I still have about 2 inches worth of room lengthwise to "grow" the hydromax9 (the largest size you are mentioning) is MASSIVE. You will NEED a shower strap otherwise it will be falling all of due to the pumps weight. No way around it. It is also extremely bulky not as easy to fit into a suitcase ETC.
Will the larger hydromax9 work for you? Probably although bathmates website doesn't start recommending it until you measure atleast 7 inches.
Your suction and therefore pressure will also be much better in the hydromax7. Oh and if you are planning on using the comfort insert (I ditched it as suction is much better without it) you will have another inch or so of room to grow added as the insert protrudes out of the pump and messes up the entire measurment system even on the bathmate itself.
Once you get the hang of the phallosan I am sure you will love it. Look into how to adjust the tension completely to the clip and away from the base ring. This way you will avoid ring burn and not waste time trying lots of methods of wrapping a cut mouse pad or sock around the ring. Worn right the phallosan really is painless and all you feel is a nice stretch on your dick.
Best of luck and Go get those gains!

Thanks for the feedback so far!
I am pretty set on a water pump due to the risks of air pumps versus water pumps.
...I could have been a bit more polite about rejecting your suggestion, though. Sorry.
See above - I am set on a water pump.
Okay, a few questions...
To clarify, you are 7.5" erect?
Are you saying, after pumping, you have a whole two more inches to go in terms of space in the pump? This just seems... disproportionate.
I am skeptical the comfort insert adds an inch. I looked at the "cushion rings" on the website, and it looks like a 1/4" at most, given the proportions in the image and what I know about the circumference of the device. Are you sure?
Any resources on adjusting the tension onto the clip?
I am skeptical of my ability to wear it at night - I toss and turn a lot. I will evaluating it with an open mind, still.
Can you explain how picking an oversized pump would affect the pressure dynamic?

I would second the idea of getting an automatic pump. I bought both a DP-4000 and a bathmate but i never use the bathmate now.
1. with the DP you can do pulse pumping which has been shown to be more effective.
2. You can design your own pumping programs
3. It has a gauge which can help in training up. Bathmate has high pressure and produces A LOT of unwanted edema.
4. You can buy various size chambers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MV8QXLO - so you can target girth or length depending on what you want or even rotate
5. With pulse pumping you can have longer sessions with way less edema which means quicker and better gains
The bathmate is ok, but it is uncomfortable because it pulls in scrotum skin. You can only do short sessions, It produces a lot of edema.
For what is worth, i was 7.5 when i bought the bathmate x9. It fits quite well, but the cushion ring does add a lot of space. Maybe half an inch.
Just my 2 cents.
