I just got a Bathmate recently. In my mind, for the hydraulic pressure to work well, the Bathmate should be about 100% water... but I find that I keep getting air bubbles in the Bathmate. Is that normal? Or is there anyway to prevent the air bubbles from getting in?

    Thanks.

Air bubbles will not change the overall vacuum level inside the cylinder .

But if we have air inside, won’t the vacuum pressure be coming from the air instead? Then it becomes no different from any air pump, right? I thought the idea about using water as pressure is that it is kind of safer in a way as there is only so much vacuum pressure you can add to the water...

One guy recommended I don’t use the comfort sleeve.. what do you guys think?

    Hi Walter,

The bubbles are coming from the base of the penis area... I think some people recommend to trim or shave the area... is that really necessary?

Also, I just reviewed the video on the Bathmate website. I think I had forgotten to remove the comfort pad while filling the water...

How big is the air bubble? As long as 90% or more of your dick is coveted by water, the air will not be a factor. In fact, there are opposing views as to whether air or water is safer or better .

Trimming or shaving pubes and applying some lube at the base of the pump will help you to get a better seal. This can work with the comfort pad too.

I stopped using the comfort sleeve very early on, just couldn't get a reliable seal with it.

I also rub vaseline into the circular rim in the base where the bathmate makes contact. Find that helps ensure a good deal.

Always works better without comfort ring. Some air is always going to enter. As long as it is mostly water it should work. Good luck.

    Thanks guys.

In that case, to what pressure should I stop pumping? Until I feel a bit of pinching on my dick?
