Air pump v water pump

Hi everybody,
I joined this forum a few months back with the plan to jelq and stretch my way to success but my enthusiasm diminished within weeks as I found it quite tedious. I know this is very common and perserverance is the key but I want something a bit more discreet as there is not much in the way of privacy in my current residence and grease getting everywhere is not very convenient for me. Plus I I have a varicocele which tends to flare up a bit after jelqing or stretching.

I had a Jes extender a couple of years back which I found a complete rip off and threw out in disgust. The noose would squish my head until it was purple and the bars sometimes trapped my skin. Almost impossible the wear in bed for me as it would just slip off.

So now I am going to try the pumping method combined with a light routine of stretches etc as this seems to be a good way of getting gains.
I've been looking at the bathmate but I'm not sure about the water, I can't sit in the bath forever and I bet it can be quite messy or noisy. But I've read about the successes a lot of people have had with it.
Looked at a few air pumps and know I've got to have one with a guage on it. I've narrowed it down to either the bathmate or the 'power up penis pump' which is around £50. Also I've just seen the Master Guage pump for similar price.

So can someone tell me the pros and cons of both types of pump please and if anyone has used the power up pump? I suppose they all do the same thing to a certain extent.
