How long should I pump at the time? And what indicators of preasure should I use when I don`t have a pump with a gauge? Is it ok as long as it does not hurt?

All the info on pumping one should know can be found in these two links.

Without a gauge, there's no real way to know where you are pressure wise. Probably is best to not pump for any length of time until you get a gauge.

No TJT. its not good to pump as long as it does not hurt. Most injuries happen when the user feels no pain during the session. Vacuum pressure pulls from the inside out and can induce bruising or cause blisters that you can not see. Once they are visible you could cause enough damage to be out for several weeks. It is not worth it.
You should read the articles that demone has linked in his post and do not go more than ten minutes your first time out, I would stay ther for at least a couple of weeks. You also want to stay in a safe pressure range of 5 hg or less. You will not be able to tell between 5 hg and 7 or 8 just by feeling alone, 5 is good but 7 or 8 can be traumatic on a penis that hasnt become accustomed to pumping yet.Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

Hg is pressure in inches of Mercury. 1 Hg = 0.49 psi. Between 0"Hg and 5"Hg, that's only 0 psi and 2.45 psi. Doesn't seem like much, but it's enough to work. This is why it's not a great idea to pump without a gauge, because the pressures are so low in the safe range, and still quite low in the not-so-safe and flat out dangerous range. Pressures don't have to be to the point of causing pain to really injure yourself. Even 5psi over a period of time, which isn't all that much, can cause some serious problems for people.
Best to just get a gauge for the pump or get a new one all together. The safety factor is mostly why those cheap gauge-free pumps are nothing more than novelty items.
The Bathmate is good for the safety factor, aside from being able to be used in warm water. By design, when used with air, it cannot get over 5.02" Hg. In water it can get up to higher pressures (around 11" Hg), but those levels are safer when the compression of water is factored in. Between air and water, there's about a 3 to 1 ratio, so 5.02" Hg in air would be about the same as 15.06" Hg in water. Seeing as in water the Bathmate can't ever get over the safe limit, nothing to worry about with it other than pumping too fast or for too long. It's mostly to do with water's inability to compress and that water molecules are larger than air's molecules.Last edited by DemOne; 09-05-2011 at 05:00 PM.

It very important to know how much pressure you are using, as DemOne says it doesnt take much. You can order a pump and a guage from many pump manufactureres such as Dr. Kaplan Pumps and I am sure the other ones such as Vacutech and LA Pumps should have them as well without having to buy the whole set. You can also order a brake bleed kit from harbor freight or possibly find one in a local auto parts store.

Ok. But I guess I can`t do any damage with just one or two squeeses on the rubber ball, right?

Without knowing how much pressure that builds, no way to know.
