    Hi there. Just starting to experiment with my X4 extender. After a 15 min rice sock warm I strap myself in "erect" and then let erection subside. After 15 mins or so I start extending the device, keeping it between the first and second lines (approx. 750g). After about 15 mins or so my glans darkens and goes cold, there is a loss of feeling but no pain at all. I can stretch up to my BPFSL and leave it there for about 50 mins at which point I remove and get the blood back in there for half an hour. I strap back in for anothef 30 mins or so and then use a rice sock to warm down.

    I started posting some starter pics this morning and one of the comments said I was not doing this right. I'd hate to damage the thing!!!

    Can somebody please comment on this picture and advise.

    Sometimes too much blood in the glans makes it darker and purple faster.

    Looks a bit too dark to me. Suggest less tension on both the rods and strap. Find the balance between enough circulation and not slipping.

    I agree I looked at the the pic and the glans looks very dark and the ligs are very stretched.
    I normally leave a little room against the fat pad and push the tension springs back to increase the blood flow without removing the extender so for that purpose I use a combination of rods.
    The company that sold x4lab to me said that 1 to 2 hours daily should be enough to see gains in two to six months. Most of my gains came from jelqs however I already have 1/2 inch gain but not certain where they come from as I jelq, bathmate or x4lab.

    You may want to try running with just up to the first line, see if your penis glans does not get so "scrunched up", which **may** be related to impaired circulation.
    This can happen if you are early in your use of the extender and your circulatory system has not yet developed under the influence of being extended.
    There is going to be some discoloration, I would advise you to not go too long in between circulation breaks. Its up to you to develop & use safe wearing practices, and you on the right track in doing some investigation.

    If you look my pictures you will see that my uncut penis is bluish and it looks even more bluish when I extend. I would say keep going and do not worry about it. As long as you feel positive pain (not much), and you are not numb, then it is ok. And if the pain gets too much then stop the session and give your pecker a break. I use a VacuTech penis pump to get the blood back in there during breaks. Try that, it really helps to reduce pain and get the poor old guy ready for another extending session. Extending is all about finding that fine line between a workout and a torture session. Torture is bad, while a serious workout is good.

    Thanks for all your advice. Seems I was a bit too "enthusiastic" with the device. I shall review my routine as follows:

    • add more bars so as not to damage the expensive threads on screws
    • experiment with finding the correct tightness for my noose
    • only wear the device for 15-20 min periods so as to let blood back into the glans
    • practice with the quad support straps: they look very clumsy though!
    • read more extender logs

    Rhinoguy is correct numbness is what you need to look out for.

    In my opinion it is best when you are just starting out to let you penis just be in the devise at a solid stretch don't worry about which line your adjusting to, or seeing how far you can stretch it out, just make the adjustment if you can with another bar and let your penis get used to being stretched out and keep an eye on how it feels. Extending is a long process don't get carried away.
