Malehanger have you tried thera-band in the place of self adhesive wrap? I'm wondering what's better or is it down to personal preference when it comes to what you put over the sweatshirt material?

i realized how important it is to keep that wrap loose. i use the tband over the SS wrap with no issue.
i realized in wrapping the wrap to tight i couldnt effectively remove the blood from the glans and put too much pressure on it in my last weeks minor injury.
like i said in the other thread malehanger. at lower weights poor technique often goes unnoticed. once you hit around 15lbs, the smallest mistake in technique can lead to injury

I have not tried theraband specifically in place of the self adhesive wrap. I have tried it against the skin as the first layer. It always bunched up on me and caused pinching and other discomfort. I have come to using the sweatshirt material partially for personal preference, comfort and because it is easily duplicated. Most men have a sweatshirt laying around, or know where to get one for just a few dollars. Also, if a guy uses a piece of sweatshirt like I suggest, most are of the same or very similar thickness. Similar to most self adhesive wraps. At least the "Ace" and "Self Grip" brands of self adhesive wraps anyway. If a guy were to use a T-shirt in place of the sweatshirt, he would likely need to use twice the length, and folded over. So, in other words, if he would use a piece of two inch wide by six inch long sweatshirt material, the same guy would use a two inch wide by twelve inch long piece of T-shirt, folded over lengthwise to make a 2x6 piece of cloth wrap.

Very true and thanks for pointing that out. This is one of the main reasons that I preach this methodology when I help the guys I do with hanging. I get them all using the same wraps and same methods. That way, from DAY ONE they are doing everything the right way. Rather than, starting out the wrong way and getting by with poor wrap technique and poor hanger technique (usually not tight enough with their hanger) at the lower weights, and then suddenly having big problems with discomfort and sometimes pain when they get to the heavier weights because they were not doing things the right way to begin with. It's frustrating to have to "re-learn" everything once you start to get into the heavier weights.

yep i just went through that. even watched the video twice. im taking a few more day off but the last 2 days i just spent going over it all. getting all that blood out of your glans really is crucial

Ok, I know it takes time to gain but today I decided to measure, after one month of strict hanging. No gains whatsoever.
Shouldn't there be at least something, a millimeter? I've never hanged ever before, all that month of a new type of shock to my penis and not a single millimeter. Anyway, I'll go at it for another month and see what happens. I'm starting att 6,6 lbs tomorrow.

the initial hanging wont give gains. the higher weight will. also if you took another day or two off and measured there might be. im at day 5 of not hanging since my little injury, and i swear i see like 1/5 inch of new growth, though i havent measured to confirm. That shock your speaking off might not have your soldier at full capacity

there isnt a 1/5 inch, and i didnt measure but it appears like a small fraction shorter than 1/4 inch
