Is this something a hanging newbie could do? Or should we start at the basic 2.5 lbs and wait til we get to 10 lbs or something?

I was reading the bib hanger website and it said to have the hanger as close to the base of your penis as possible. Is that the way everyone hangs. Whats different about it then putting the clamping part near the head
It's been awhile since I've used my bib hanger but I believe that attaching as close to the base as possible might be a way to target the inner penis more and also it's done for skin stretching purposes. I don't think that is the way you are supposed to hang normally. Normally you do want to attach the hanger closer to the end of the penis so that you are stretching the entire shaft as well as the ligs. Look for instructions on Bibs website on how to properly attach the hanger.

Has anybody had good success/gains with this style of training?
This thread is great, maybe it should be a sticky ?
BigO, Malehanger (and others), are you still using this method ? What were your results?
I restarted hanging a month ago, doing around 25 sets a week, the time is ok for me, but the hanging has a negative impact on my EQ ( not awfull, but I feel my EQ is not as good as when I'm not hanging).
I think this method might help preserve a better EQ while still making gains ? What is your experience in this eq department with this method ?
Thanks for the thread :) (yes I know it's a 4 years old thread, but still ! )
I will not be silent on the issue of weight hanging devices! If you are using a clamp or compression style weight hanger your EQ will suffer! Clamp you finger in a vise for a several hours a week and then tell me that the mobility and dexterity of your finger doesn't suffer!
I'm now hanging far in excess of 10 hours a week with the LG Hanger and my EQ has never been better!
The LG Hanger is extremely comfortable. There is a long standing debate/discussion of: High weight/Less time VS Less weight/more time. I have an extremely flexible schedule, so I'm going with the more time route for now. I can currently go for 45min at 11 to 12 lbs, but now taking a different tact. I'm trying to clock between 3 to 4 hours per day, every day, but in the 8 to 10 lb range. The LG Hanger allows me to do this comfortably and I never feel at risk, and I haven't lost any EQ.
