  • Is "some days off" important for gaining?

    Need some advice from experienced PEers:
    1. I read quite often people saying "have some days off inbetween, it helps gaining", or "listen to your body - as long as your body doesn't say no, keeping going", what is the most effective?
    2. I am mainly using an extender (with some manual stretch inbetween the extender sessions). I know it is tension x hours which at the end of the day counts. However, when you may choose between having more tension but (much) less time wearing the extender each session, or less tension but (much) longer time wearing the extender, what is the most effective?

    This is the million dollar question for me when it comes to PE. I do manual only and perform a 3 day On 1 day Off routine and do a cycle where as i take a full week off to Rest after 6 weeks of training. So i am more suay to back the 'rest is important attitude'. I spent a long time contemplating whether to train continuosly with no rest days or train the way i do now. The only way i could make a decision was by trial and error so i gave both a try and discovered what was best for me. When i attempted to continuosly train i did what i allways do and monitored my PI's, after just 1 week i experienced negative PI's.
    Im no expert on devices and the use of extenders so probably not the best person to advise with relation to your regime but i would say if pushed for an answer ...to do exactly what i did. Experiment through trial and error to see what works best for you, our penises respond differently to others. Use your PI's as your guide! BTW by PI's i mean body clues, if your still unsure check the Articles (link at the top of the page).
    There are a few experts on extenders here within the forum, it might be worth sending them a PM and chat to them directly. These guys have already written some Articles, i think Dangler is one of them ...maybe wrong.

      Yeah just checked for you, Dangler and Calixto are the top guys when it comes to Extenders. If you have any difficulty getting in touch with them i would contact a Moderator for help. Failing that you may depending on how serious you feel about your training ...want to consider a 1-2-1 consultation with Dr Richard Howard (a PE coach that specialises with devices).

        Dude, I've seen you around, here and there, before I joined, and I say to you."forget the day-off BS". It only serves to diminish your efforts. Remember, you are trying to alter your body's natural size. Yes, you will have lower EQ while training your cock for growth, that's because you are intentionally hurting it. Without controlled damage there is no growth... So I say to you, GIVE IT HELL IF YOU WANT TO GROW!(or take it easy, if you're going to live as long as Methuselah). ...but through my rigorous methods I get an inch a year!(please question me as you see fit, I'm only here to help)............but after I reach 9"BPEL I'm gone for good from this site as I think my efforts should be here if someone needs to research them.........

              Yes, very important

              You want to put your penile tissue under stress, not work them to failure. Growth also occurs during rest days

                In the last 3+ years of extender use, I am better off with more hours at a low to medium amount of tension. (400 to 1000 grams).
                For me, excessive tension leads to big time turtle effect, poor EQ, and a willie that hurts, poor flaccid hang.
                Having just switched over to a Penimaster Pro, I can easily do a 3 hour session, at medium tension, take a pee break, and do another 2 to 3 hours. I like what I am seeing at the end of the day. While I get wildly enthusiastic about wearing my Pro 24/7, I know that my body is better with time off.
                Too much of a thing is not good.

                  Thanks for all the replies!
                  I will focus on more time with less tension (which my body also tells me to do), and also try to have rest days. Any further advice on how often should I have rest days?

                    No pain no gain

                    I wear x4 gold everyday avg 6hrs for 6months seen already .7 inch gain maybe cuz im 19. Some days wen I dont work I go for 8 to 10 hrs. I guess its just the way the traction system works the only way u can cause damage and would need rest is thru loss of circulation & too much friction due to poor poor padding of the base & strap. Ive added moleskin and foam pads ive torn to prevent this problem(s). I try to wear it wenever I dont have work as much as I can in a way that pulls my foreskin just enough so it protects the base of the head which is very sensitive& i even lose some sleep. I also take alot of supplements but thats a whole other topic.

                      I am in this camp. I also have the time. I am an old married guy and I like hanging every day AM and PM session.

                      I don't believe we grow. I believe we stretch and heal stronger. More stretch... less healing stronger makes sense to me.
