hanging from the balls..

hey guys, ive been thinking about ball stretchers and was wondering if there are any drawbacks of hanging from the balls. i was thinking of creating a hanger for use specifically as a ball stretcher and a half kilo weight... what sort of weight wouldbe safe? etc..
