I'm considering buying a penis pump, to incorporate into my jelq/stretch routine. I've never pumped before... so I'd like to get a cheap one, to see if I like it. Only problem is I can't find the right size cylinder (my current stats are 8.5" BPEL, 5" EG)

From what I've understand about "ideal cylinder size", I need a 11" x 2"... but I don't think that's gonna come my way, unless I order a custom cylinder.

I've found a reasonably priced pump (California Exotics Big Mans Pump) and it measures 12" x 2.5"... would this be okay to start? Any other suggestions in the $30-50 price range? Thanks in advance

A pump for 30-50$ is a piece of shit.

You only need to worry about semi-erect size. You wont ever pump with a full blown erection.

I have a bathmate water pump that works very well. It's a great beginner pump. You should maybe check it out. Bathmate Penis Enlargement Pump - Bathmate Penis Enlarger Pump Store

Your pump MUST have a gauge. You will injure yourself by not knowing how much vacuum you are stressing your dick to, otherwise.

JP is right , not only will it keep you from injury but it will let you have complete control over your workout. No over/under pumping and wasting time. I think 5 hg is the pressure thats suggested if you end up getting one.

Hey sacc & others interested in pumping--

I've used a pump for awhile and have done it right and, unfortunately, wrong over time so I feel very experienced. Fortunately I've had good success with it. Started using a 1.75" cylinder for awhile, not super dedicated, but ended up with results. Went off it for awhile, came back and found that my dick had truly increased in size; I couldn't even get the 1.75" cylinder on my cock when it was hard. So that was nice, but I had already bought that cylinder thinking that was still my size (lesson: always measure so you don't waste money). Needed the 2" cylinder. Have been using that cylinder for a decent amount of time. Again, not super regularly, but with enough regularity (even more than the previous cylinder) that I now have nearly no scrotum suck at the base, and the ridge of by head is starting to flare to reach both the left and right, as well as the back part of the cylinder walls when pumping. It has definitely given me permanent gains. My dick used to taper near the head and my head wasn't very full when erect. But now, my erections are full, when really aroused, point straight up and my thickness is totally even from base to tip (including head, which is now filled out and totally symmetrical with the rest of my cock when hard or flaccid). I went from a starting measurement many years ago of about 5.5" nbpel to my current nbpel of 6.5". I don't know what my erect girth was back then, but I estimate that it was slightly under 5" or so. It is now 5.5" when erect. My bone pressed erect measurement is 7 to 7 1/8 inches when hard. So I've had a lot of good development over the years with a pump. Very satisfied.

Definitely you need a gauge and a pump system that is not one of those cheap ones that is really only used for fooling around with during sex play, etc. I believe the range for a 2" cylinder that just goes over the cock is somewhere around 5.1 to 5.5" in girth. From 5.51 and beyond, the 2.25" cylinder is recommended (I'm going off of memory here so you'll need to check that for sure). With your current erect length, you'll need a cylinder that is 12" long. The standard cylinders are aournd 9 to 9.5 inches long. Your cock will be reaching the top very quickly. If you get the system that I've been using, they are anatomically built, with a slight taper near the end to reduce any unwanted swelling under the head after pumping, which means you'll probably be hitting the walls of the cylinder, near the top, possibly too much and you'll definitely be hitting the actual top of the cylinder rather quickly. So I can tell you that you should buy a 12" cylinder, if you're already 8.5" in erect length. The cylinder size as far as diameter goes should be a quarter inch larger than your largest erect girth point. So I think you're okay with the 2". But I'd definitely call the company's phone number and they can walk you through your measurements and let you know exactly which cylinder you should be buying. That is another important point, buy from a company that has a dedicated call in number for help with finding the right routine, the right cylinders, etc.

This will be the last bit, as this is getting rather long (no pun intended), and it comes from pumping experience. The best way to increase your cock size with a pump is to make sure, when using the cylinder that goes over just your cock, that your dick is as hard as it can possibly be before you put the pump over it and begin pumping. You want to be at maximum erection capacity. Then, put the cylinder over a well warmed-up, well lubricated cock and balls (and area around your cock and balls) and slowly begin to pump. You should go with less pressure at first; you'll be able to build over time. As with PE, you should start out with lower pressures and build. I can now comfortably go slightly beyond -5 on the pressure gauge with a very full starting erection, but it has taken me time to get there. I recommend only 20 minutes per session to start (warm up, lube up, FULL hard on, pump for 10 mins, stop, massage dick well, get FULL hard on again, pump another 10 minutes, massage; eventually you can add a third 10 minutes for a total of 30 mins, but you really won't need more than that to achieve really good results if you keep up a routine that is 3 times per week or every other day over a period of about 6 to 8 months). I'm not 100% sure why I've been lucky and have achieved results with it, as I have not been as dedicated as I should. I think doing it right after trial and error and with some regularity over time, even though it has not been as regular as I should have, is what allowed me to gain. It is very time consuming. I have found that PE is much more "doable" thus far in relation to amount of time it takes to do the exercises. That is why I'm here and want to go with PE instead of pumping at this point. I'll probably still pump from time to time, but switch to regular PE workouts instead. I know this is a lot to read, but I hope this is helpful?!

7InchStart, I recently started experimenting with pumping, just feeling it out right now. I haven't really started a routine. I'm just fooling around now and getting the feel for it(pumping). I do find it exciting so far. My initial cylinder purchased was a 2.5(2 1/2). I think its to big. I'm thinking about getting a smaller one(2 "). When I calculated my size to be 1.91(girth / 3.14(Pi)). I did ask the supplier(pumptoys) they suggested 2 1/4 or 2 1/2. My feeling is that the 2 1/2 is to large to start out.

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2" cylinder and start with that. You mention in your experience to go a 1/4" larger. Do you suggest going with a 2 1/4 cylinder? After reading you input, I'm thinking now the 2" will be too small.

Respectfully, what would you suggest a proper size cylinder to purchase(2" or 2 1/4")? My new thought is a 2 1/4" cylinder

    Hey McB52--
I went online to look up the sizes just to be sure. From 5.51 to 6.25 inches of erect girth you would use a 2.25" cylinder. I calculated your erect girth to be 6 inches, right? (nice girth by the way!) So it sounds like you would be good with what you were mentioning. Happy experimenting with the pump!
