Pirate, I've been catching up on your thread. You'll really like the weighted endcap with the xleeve. I use about a third of a sleeve with the weight. It's much easier to get on and off than a whole sleeve. Makes a great ADS.

Two interesting suggestions. Thankee both.
I am not familiar with the VacExtender. Do you find it comfortable?Pirate Diplomacy:

After about 6 months of use, I find it very comfortable. I can wear it for 2+ hours as an exrender without a significant problem and 10+ hours as an ADS with weight attached. I just located a 32 0z fishing weight which is working out just fine. I say without significant problem, because sometimes the area under my corona feels slightly bruised, but not enough to interfear with using it,
In the beginning, I did generate blisters on two occasions and encountered some significant bruising which caused me to take two to three day breaks, I believe my difficulties were due to not having the glans tightly seated in the cap.Conditioning may also be a factor. Once I learned how to place the cap and sleeve on properly, significant problems have so far been eliminated. As I mentioned previously, I have started to experiment the TLCTugger to see if that works any better.
From what I have been reading recently, most find the VacExtender to cause a good deal of bruising and occasional blisters. Rhinoguy was a strong supporter of the VacExtender when he first started using it and is now quite disenchanted.
I personally feel the VacExtender is a vast improvement over the comfort strap/noose and I feel the use of the cap and sleeve with 2 lbs of weight attached has opened a whole new area of PE for me. I have taken to wearing the xsleeve with a 16 oz fishing weight for as many hours during the day as I can manage. I was a bit concerned about the lead weight rubbing against my skin for that long (lead poisoning) so I got a high gloss acrylic sealer and sprayed it. Then I got a longer cord so that the bulge of the weight is now below my knee and far less obvious than it was. I like the system but I will be on the hunt for a larger weight to use.

I like the acrylic sealer idea. I was wearing two 10 oz and one 8 oz fishing weights and used an athletic wrist band to hold them together to reduce clanking and avoid the lead rubbing against skin. I just found a 32 oz weight ($8) at a deep sea fishing supply store. The longer cord is also a good idea for when I switch from shorts to long pants. The long cord will also help when sitting down because it will allow the weight(s) to hang over the edge of the chair.
I had my weight on for 12 hours yesterday, the extender on for 3 hours, the silicone VacExtender sleeve on for 4 hours and in the vacuum tube for 30 minutes, which left it exposed to fresh air and turtling for only 4.5 hours.Valued Member of 11+ years at the PEGym12/'09 (start) NBP EL - 4.5, EG - 4.4

The problem that I have now with the longer cord is that the weight tends to bang against my shin when i walk quickly. I need a simple way to either cushion the blow or break the harmonic.

I bought two 8 ounce torpedo shaped fishing weights that I was able to link in series. This is working great: the configuration breaks the harmonic and is lower profile.

How about a safety pin or two on the strap. Not pinning the strap but just attach the pin and then slip the strap through the loop of the pin so it doesn't have the swing but allows the pull from the weight.

AutoXSleeves are fantastic. Been using them ever since they came out. Great for light all day weight hanging and preventing any turtling. New sleeves and systems are coming out on Monday. Monkey Bar sells good stuff...and he's always making them better. Granted, they are a bit pricey but you have to consider the fact that he makes and designs everything himself.
