Hello everyone, im getting my vachanger3 on the mail on Monday. So i went shopping for some weights today and i could not find any half pound weights. can anyone tell me where I can find half a pound weights, thank you in advance. Also, is 2 pounds a good starting weight for the VG3, its going to be your first time hanging? I am thinking of doing 4 sets of 20 minutes the first time is that good or should i do less? i wanna hang 7 days a week, for 2 days just hang at least 1 set but no more than 2 is that good? again thanks for your help (:

Most guys either use fishing weights or batting weights. Of course you could also just buy a length of chain or use a ton of washers, or other hardware store parts including rocks or sand.
Why can't you use 1.25lb or 2.25lb weight plates from any Walmart or sports store? It would be much cheaper than those micro weighted Olympic plates and easier to change out.

thanks for the replay TheGreatDivider, actually I did go to Walmart, and the smallest plates they had were 2.5 pounds so i got one. I saw a dumbbell that was 2 pounds so i bought it too. I also went to the fishing section and they had 4oz or 6oz weights is this what others members use u say? now that u say sport store, Im probably going to go to Big 5 to see if they have half a pound weights.

I'm telling you, you're not going to find half pound plates. Unless you make them yourself the only pace you can find them is very specific sports stores or Powerlifting websites. They sell these fractional weight plates in .25, .5, .75. and 1lb for a ridiculous price, like $60 for a set of 2 PLUS s & h. So like $65-$70 for 5lbs of weight. You can buy like 750lbs of play sand or concrete for that price.

So I just started hanging, and finding weights were my problem. If you send me a PM so when I am on my computer, I'll send you the links I got everything from. I did quite a bit of searching and planning on amazon for the most effecient weights. That I could find atleast.
I have these 5 weird spiral rings that are 1lb each, a 5lb plate, and these little balls that are about 8oz (1/2lb).
So yah leave me a PM or something. Or I could post here if I remember really.
