Thread: Homemade hanging device diy?
- 06-14-2015 #1
I have been doing some research about hanging and it is something I would like to start maybe next month. Unfortunately I don't have the money to buy a device so I was hoping to make a homemade one. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

Made any gains? Tap out manual gains before switching to devices. Stay consistent!

Yeah but I never properly measured up until now but the gains were noticable. I'd say maybe from 7.4-7.5 from very inconsistent pe over the course of 4 months. I have completed first week of routine pe so in one month I guess we will see what happens. I probably will do some manual stretching here and there.

Look into the gripping trainer and the malehanger2. The gripping trainer is less then $30 and the malehanger is less then $50. I am using the gripping trainer to perform stretches and to hang. Good hangers are becoming more and more affordable. Below is a video showing these 2 hangers and a couple others. Pricing in the videos might be wrong. One of the hangers i discuss is the SnakeHanger. It is a great DIY hanger but not the best hanger and when it is all said and done and shipping is included it costs as much as others.

In the devices forum sticky threads there are a few different types of diy hangers.
The AFB
The captains wench
home made bibs
They should all cost less than 10 dollars to make.Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

I just made a Captains Wench two weeks ago and have been using it everyday since. Cost me about $20 for all of the supplies but I can make 3 more from those supplies. I got the Clamps at Home Depot, the Nylon Strap at JoAnn Fabrics, the Velcro and the Sliders at Wal-Mart. Pretty simple to construct and it works great.

YKM: Aren't you using too many methods at once?? Most senior PE members who have seen the most significant results usually achieved their gains by using one method at a time like hanging. Length before girth is key. Personally I am going to hang until I stop getting results, hopefully after putting on 2-3 inches which isn't uncommon for most people who hang consistently. Then I will move onto girth through devices like Bathmate and clamping. Finally I will move on to actual PE exercises. I just know that being patient and going at it slow and steady is the best way to maximize my gains in when all is said and done.

Made mine for about $10. The weights will run you another 20-30. I also suggest investing in a silicone sleeve for another $15. I was able to effectively hang 9 pounds without a clamp using the wench and silicone sleeve as a wrap. Good luck.
Also curious about this.
