It is the tension clip. There are two bars that have colored tape to show the tension strength. One of those bars snapped.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. Mine also broke. There made weak. And if the would of put the set screw in all the way to the bottom it would hold up better. The short screw makes the arms even weaker..and by the way that's not the tension clip. The tension clip is what holds the bell. Those are your Tension arms. I had mine made out of stainless steel. It allows to put a stronger spring in it also..here is a pic. https://www.dropbox.com/s/lk9wak3asr...81%29.jpg?dl=0

Very resourceful of you! Yep, you and I have had the same issue. I think the issue gets problematic when the tension level gets to yellow and beyond because it creates a lot of stress on the rods. Good work rippem!

I am currently at the level where my tension arms are at the yellow stage. The one thing of note is that I try to be careful not to move around a great deal while I am wearing the PF, besides my normal movements.
I have read where some people snap their rods when they are doing something involving a deep squat or another movement that puts added pressure on the rods.Start 08/15/15 (measurements using bathmate measuring device)
BPEL: 5.75"
EG: 5.5"
10/15/18
BPEL: 6.9"
BEG: 6.5"
MEG: 6.25"

The problem with the rods is if you look were it breaks at you will notice that it breaks right under the screw. The screw should go all the way to the bottom of the shaft. Not just a little ways in..it makes the rod weaker..and I think they break when you get into the yellow and red but when it start to pull to the side of your body it's bending the arms. And they can't take the pressure..the pf is a good device just made out of cheap material that will break. The only thing that should be plastic is the bell. And if they want to use plastic they need to drill the arms deeper and put a longer screw in for added support..jmo..PEACE!

Today was the first full day back following the 4 day SNAFU with the broken tension clip. Basically, I lost 36 hours based on the 4 day set back. I guess it could have been much worse. I I day 4 straight of putting in 15 hours. The intensity really picks up doing these really long runs back to back. I can feel the stretch being much more significant than even a 12 hour run. The last few hours the stretch is great. I am going to try to keep at this as long as possible.

DaddyLOngstroke,
It sure was. Given I was pacing to have 1000k hours and my official measurement day fall on the same day, the tension clip SNAFU put me a few days back. Barring any complications, I am a go for Sunday.
