Some say it's harmful, some say it's not. Some say it depends on how long and/or often you do it, and some say it depends on how addicted you are to it.
I say don't edge to porn, because then it becomes a habit, an addiction.

I'd say give it time, try to edge without porn for a month and most likely you'll see your eq go up without the crutch of porn
or you could just watch soft core stuff and then try watching nothing but like jay said watching porn while edging really can become a bad habit... i personally think if you can maintain an erection without porn you and whomever you have sex with will get a better experience

It depends how vulnerable you are to conditioning. Jay1983 has a point about focusing solely on the sensations. This create a "blank slate" you can work up from. I enjoy edging without porn, just focusing on feeling. That being said I used to only be able to edge with porn. For me though I would have to go through a lot of videos because over time I got so bored seeing certain positions/angles they would give me no interest, so I would be skimming through each video looking for the part I wanted. I never let myself get into really hardcore stuff though. When you first start it'll be challenging, but you'll most likely be glad when you don't a visual anymore. Quitting porn will also help you keep a higher EQ while doing your exercises.

That's the problem with it, what exactly am I to support the pornogragly with because I'm not the kind of guy that's gonna wank over the girl on the till. I would advice against watching porn, but the most important thing to remember here is the dopamine release/reward system engagement!!! Addictions are fueled by dopamine. Dopamine is released in huge amounts after you ejaculate, and to extent while masturbating/workout u get some dopamine release too. I don't know if this will help or not but this is my experience.
I used to watch a lot of porn and edge to it, but like a previous poster I only liked to edge to certain parts which eventually led me to compilations. This made having sex with someone else slightly more difficult and I often had problems maintaining a solid erection.
What worked best for me to counter this was weaning myself off by first watching solo girls instead of hardcore stuff. Then from there I moved onto pictures. Lastly I moved onto pictures of the girl I have been with for awhile, this made it easier to focus on situations that have actually occurred. This process gave me the ability to slowly work towards reducing the dependence on porn and focusing more and more onto how it felt.
Anyways that is what worked for me, hopefully you can take something from it and it will be able to help you.
