Moxa is best for supplementing the body's yang. Moxa comes in different forms, the most easy to self apply is a moxa stick or roll. Basically you just heat the end up till it turns red and starts to burn very slowly. This projects a lot of heat, sort of like an infrared lamp, but good for hitting specific spots. This stick is then pointed at the acupoints and can be waved around up and down or just held there until you feel it's been long enough, or until you feel too much pain, the longer you hold it on the point the better, so you might want to move the moxa around so it doesn't heat the immediate skin up excessively causing pain, but rather imagine you want to saturate a bucket of sand with water, so pour the water on at intervals so it doesn't spill out and is absorbed down to the bottom of the bucket. Also, by putting ginger slices or garlic or onion slices over the point and then projecting heat through the thin slice it increases the efficacy for yang deficiencies many times. Moxa sticks are relatively cheap, and can be reused many times before they run out depending on the moxa, but their health benefits can be outstanding.
Some points are too hard to moxa yourself so you will need assistance for the fullest treatment. But it is not needed to moxa all the points, at all, just doing a couple will yield benefits.
It is not needed to actually use moxa, but moxa is tremendously beneficial. You can substitute by using rubbing your hands together until you really feel your hands and fingers are warm, then using your palm, index and middle finger, or middle finger and ring finger on the area, and rub it or press it in circular motions.

Another cool thing about these points, is that you'll start noticing where they are on your partner, and some of them can be used to arouse or summon greater horniness in your partner.
An example treatment on myself with moxa, which I found to be beneficial, was to go in this sequence. Belly button ST36 SP6 CV4 CV3 CV2 CV6 LI 4 LU9 ST27 GV4 GV1 CV1 penis, I probe for areas around the penis that need the heat, many places are too sensitive, the glans can handle the heat. The moxa not only works internally but also externally. I've used the moxa to heal specific areas, like my pink knuckle for the longest time was caved in because an accident. So I used moxa on it 3 days in a row, and it healed tremendously just in those 3 days. I find that must be the case with the penis as well, as several practitioners recommend using moxa on the glans of the penis, especially if that is the area you wish to enlarge.
