I'm having a hard time believing my girth is bigger than most men

This post is definitely not intended as a brag or boast, and I hope it doesn't come across that way.

I'm just having a hard time believing my girth is bigger than most men. My MSEG (mid-shaft erect girth) is 5.6 inches with very good erection quality. It can drop down to 5.5 inches with worse erection quality (eg. if I'm tired, stressed, not turned on enough).

Now this girth is in the top 10-20% of men. Some studies say it's even in the top 5%! I just find this total rubbish. My penis does not feel or look particularly thick. I've compared it with images of regular male penises online*. It looks the same thickness or thinner than most of those. And many of those guys say they have girth of 5 inches or less.

So how am I thicker than most men? I have never felt thick or considered myself as thick. I find it hard to believe most guys are thinner than me.



*I have NOT compared it with professional porn stars, because those dicks are disproportionately large compared to the rest of the male population

i'm 5.5 as well and I've always thought the same thing..apparently average is 5 inch girth

As a 55 year old guy, I personally have only interacted with one erect dick, that being my own. I therefore have no comparison in real life that would give me reason to think that national studies would be wrong. I'm thicker that both of you and I still don't think it is thick. But, truth is, it doesn't matter what I think, it is what your partner thinks. If your only reference is online pics then you really have no basis to compare. Take pride in your girth and set your worries to some other useless anxiety inducing issue. After all, we worry about useless things all the time, don't we?

You can't make accurate estimates on absolute size from a picture, especially not a 3D measurement from a 2D image. I'm about the same MSEG as you, and yes, it is larger than most guys. Considering I'm the same girth as you and have already had some women say it's too big to do certain things, you must realize that if it were an average size (or less), they would be well used to it by the time I met them.

The penis is larger than average. The perception is the issue. You can never compare to online photos. Hell I can't compare to my own penis. I look at the tape measure and wonder how the hell it reads that. I still have perception problems with mine. It defies logic. Still I no longer stress about the size.

funny you say that im a little over 5 and i felt a little thic... i guess its all in the head.

2 girls couldnt handle it also but they had petite hands/feet and body. So what might be big to you or some girl doesnt apply to everyone.

In general, we always use ourselves as the measuring stick against everyone else in the world. We assume most people are like us, unless we feel insecure... then we assume most are better than us.

Not true in all cases. But in general that's how it works. In support of this assumption, our minds filter out information that would contradict our assumption.

Also, people don't typically post small dick pics online. If somebody is posting it, it's because they're proud of it. Even if they say they aren't.

I also never understood this. Mine is 6" girth, more at the shaft. And never had any woman that "couldn't handle it". I have also had analsex with every girl i slept with and they all have loved it. Often straight in without foreplay or something. Never thought mine beeing bigger than average. Still dont believe it.

Why would you? You don't usually hear about guys having any problems with vaginal until more than 6" girth at mid. .5" difference or even more quite common between base and mid

I am 5.3 meg and 5.7 base.I was very suprised when I discovered I am above average in girth.Also one milf told me "its fat".I thought she is inexperienced.

Same here. I have been all my life at 6" mid shaft girth and I never felt/suspected of being above average. No girl has ever rejected me, few virgins included. I've had only couple downright comments of being a bit big and never any particular troubles for penetration or bj. I guess girls are much more impressed by length than by girth.
When I started digging into pegym I read about studies and world average but it is still hard to believe. Porn does indeed alter your perception.
