Thread: How does the penis grow?
- 03-15-2010 #1
So I've been thinking lately about how the penis actually grows. Is it because the 'inner' penis is being pulled out, OR is the penis you see now being stretched and expanded cause of all the pressure OR is it a combination of both?
In the beginning I thought the only way the penis would grow is by pulling out he inner penis. But now that i've seen some stretch marks (which have a lighter skin color) I'm beginning to think its not all about the inner penis.

I think the main ways are collagenous tissue deformation over time. The collagenous tissue involved is the tunica, the septum, and the suspensory ligaments. How much cellular mitosis contributes to this is a matter of debate. Some believe that hyperplasia of the smooth muscle within the erectile chambers (corpora cavernosa) plays a role.
Soem believe that stretching of the suspensory ligaments allows "exteriorization" of the subcutaneous part of the penis and others don't.
In addition, there is the element of improved erection quality causing an apparent increase in size as a result of realizing the full potential size of the penile chambers, which results from Kegels, and possibly from jelqing and stretching.

Alternating between heat and cold helps expand and reform all the molecular bonds in the penile tissues. Some have reported big gains by applying 'scottish showers' on their dicks
