    Do you think I could still get gains if I drink alcohol at the weekend? I will give up smoking at least but once a week like to have a drink.

    I personally don't believe that a drink once a week will hinder gains.

      As long as you're healthy, I should think moderate drinking would have no effect on your gains.

          Alcohol negatively affects EQ so I never drink on girth days and try to moderate drinking or not drink at all otherwise. You should be fine if you don't drink too often and don't drink till you're drunk.

            I have a drink or two before meals on a regular basis and have made decent gains.

            You should check with Cusp. He’s an expert on rum.
