Porn while training = bad? what are your methods if you don't use porn to train?

  • Porn while training = bad? what are your methods if you don't use porn to train?

    So I've been thinking about this a bit. I'm in week 2 of starting PE for reference.

    We know Porn can be bad. It can lead to poor EQ in actual sex because your brain has been rewired towards Porn-Masturbation-Orgasm (PMO) as your dopamine inducing pattern. It can de-sensitize you to actual sensuality. Lots of studies out there, I'm sure plenty of you have opinions on this.

    I've been using porn to control my erection level while training. However, I wonder about how I would do this without Porn. I suppose I should just try it. I have masturbated before without porn, often in bed when waking up and just feeling like it. However, those sessions are really short. PE training is an hour long process for me, sometimes longer. I don't know if I could sustain my erection at 60%-80% range.

    My questions for you are two fold:
    1. Do you think porn while training is bad?

    2. What are you methods if you don't use porn to train?

      Imagination is a wonderful thing. Before porn became easily accessible on the internet guys still masturbated plenty and did it with nothing more than their imagination.

        That's true, but us young generation grew up with porn from a young age so its hard to bridge off of it.
        Although I try to stay off of porn, and use my imagination.. porn is still the only thing that gives me a good beat session haha.

        But yeah imagination is the way to go.

          Yes it would be hard to bridge it off. It's not just the younger generation. There are many older guys who have become addicted to porn after they gained easy access to it through the internet and have the same problem now. Their brain has been retrained and needs this stimulus for masturbating now. I'm sure it's not easy, but a brain can also be retrained to do without porn.
          To totally satisfy a woman sexually is not about having a large penis, it's about being a good lover.

              Interesting stuff Big Al! Great article and techniques. Definitely stuff I read up on. The Ted Talks is really good as well.

              I'm 29, so part of the gen that was raised on free porn (man, they really should teach people about internet usage in school nowadays, including access to unlimited Pr0nz). I had an issue with an ex where I was losing my sense of sensuality and the spirituality of sex as I grew more addicted to porn. I did my research after that all ended.

              I get back to training tomorrow after 2 days off. I'll try tomorrow going straight from the imagination. I guess this is a chance to practice sexual visualization techniques. I can see that activating the mind-body connection would be really good for gains--visualizing where I want my penis to be and using that in every practice.

              + Hopefully I can manifest myself into a threesome since that's definitely going to be in this visualization hah. Would be great if it was timed with the end of my 90 day routine haha

              Will let you know how it goes!

                  Is replacing porn with audio podcasts of girls orgasming the same or it is ok to do it to maintain an erection ?

                    Whenever I deploy I always take porn with me for those brief periods of alone time and more often than not I wouldn't watch the porn and just fantasize about all the things I was gonna do to my wife when I got back. So I say give it an actual shot and I think you'll be surprised.

                        I used to be a real porn lover, been really dependent on it for the past 15 odd years to fulfill my sexual desires, where I could only indulge in the particular form of fetish which would really arouse me.
                        A year or so ago, I was suddenly losing interest in porn for some reason. My mind was somehow trying to tell me that this isnt right, I thought about it that in the real world I cant have these sort of perfect scenes, and even if I do, I shouldnt solely rely on them to be aroused.
                        At this point i was a bit concerned and actually thought about it seriously and decided to ease off on porn. Gradually it became lesser till i was in control of when i wanted to watch it. Cutting down on it by half or more. I was not aware of the harmful effects of porn till i joined pegym. Uptil then I just thought it wasn't right.
                        On joining here last year did I realize the harmful effects of porn and how it negatively trains your mind, like a drug does. I have, without hesitation or any difficulty, been off porn since february. Only used it a few times when training, till i realized its not allowed and stopped it.
                        The mind should respond to natural stimulus, porn destroys that by creating a false environment which is designed around you only and will only feed you what you like. Thereby making you ignore the role you play (your duty) as a partner during sex. I think thats real bad negative conditioning right there.
                        As of now I have gone from watching hardcore porn movies to barely watching non nude pictures at most.
                        I plan on cutting that out too in the future, because I want unnatural stimulation out of my life, and I am making every effort in that direction. I want it to be such that when I do get aroused, I should only be looking for sex, unless my partner isnt available at the time lol. Only then can I say hello to my old friend (my hand - not porn) haha.

                          Tried it last night while training. Was not so bad! I went into my mind and created scenes for myself, involving girls i know haha. Man I really just want to have a threesome, as a giver and receiver.

                          On the training tip though, it was actually pretty good since I was more focused on the workout than on the porn. Even when I was using porn to help, I'd mostly be listening, instead of looking to the porn. Without it though, it's all focus on the technique and the imagination. It was harder, no lie, since you're using extra brain power, but not impossible, not even close. One might even say it's better if you really get your brain trained

                              Tried it again after two days off -- it's getting easier. You really don't need porn to train. Or even to jerk off. Hmm. This is a good thing
