Thread: Ideal amount of Jelqing?

I was doing my routine and started wondering what a "standard" amount of jelqing would be. Online I looked up some articles and posts, I saw people go as low as saying only ~200 to others who said that ideally 1,000 jelqs per day is a goal. I personally do 300 currently and add 20-30 each week depending on how well the week before went. What do you guys consider to be the most effective amount?
Starting BPEL: 5.3 in
Starting NBPEL: 4.8 in
Current BPEL: 5.8 in
Current NBPEL: 5.2 in
Goal BPEL: 7.5 in
Goal NBPEL:7.0 in

whatever you have the time for honestly and however long you wanna sit there and pull on ya member. But you can overtrain it and turtle. It just depends on my mood. Some days I'll do 200 and others I will do around 100

Individual tolerances will vary. Conditioning, experience, the types of jelqs being performed, and the individual's goals will have an impact.

The quality of your stroke is most important. Carelessly stroking one after the other without thinking about what you are doing is detrimental to the process. Even after all these years, just like when I am lifting, I pay attention to every little detail on each stroke I perform. In addition, lighter strokes, like lighter weights, requires more of them than more intense jelqing. Going hog wild will probably end in burn out and quitting. No matter how many you do, you have to want to do them. As soon as it becomes a task or job you are going to lose interest. Injuries play into it. While I use a very strong, slow jelq, I am injury free. Start breaking even little blood veins and you are going to end up in trouble if you don't both let them heal, and then adjust your pressure or reps. There is so much more that goes into jelqing if you really want to become efficient at it, but these are just a few thoughts to consider.
