  • Girth Gains = Scar Tissue?

This is a question for the anatomy experts out there....

What is exactly happening as a result from girth exercises? I understand that there is expansion and new cell growth. But is this cell growth a form of scar tissue?

Also, has anyone with large girth gains found that they have also been desensitized?

I'm on the plateau, looking up.

    Plateau BPEL: 7" MEG: 5.125"

I don't have tremendous girth gains but I have gained about 0.9" in MEG, and I can say that: yes there is some desensitization. Despite that being the fact, I also recognize that my erections are now harder and last longer than ever before.

Expansion of the penile tunica and fascia is likely what's going on. Aside from that, there should NOT be any sort of scar tissue involved!

I have gained about1.1” in MSEG and my erection still looks the same only bigger. I have diabetes induced ED so I need to pump and slip on a tight constriction band in order to generate and maintain an errection. The constriction band reduces sensitivity so I actually do not know if the increased girth contributes to the loss of but I feel it doesn’t.

Not2big, did you measure your 4,4" girth with constriction band on or without? And how about your 5,5" girth?
          5/2019 Start: 5,2" NBPEL X 4,35" MEG
          10/2019 Bundled stretch: 5,6" NBPEL X 4,35"MEG
          10/2019 - 2/2020 Girth Exersices: on/off and no gains
          7/2020 Erect stretch: 6,25" NBPEL X 4,35" MEG

Short term goal: 7" NBPEL X 5,5" MEG
Long term goal: 8" NBPEL X 6,2" MEG

I did not need a constriction band when I measured my beginning measurements. At that time, Viagra was still working. I have not recorded any measurements since I started using a pump and constriction.

If the micro tears caused by PE are small enough and occur spread over a sufficient period of time, scar tissue should be absent to very little. Scars occur when the tissue is disrupted to such an extent that the neighboring tissue cells are unable to bridge the gap, or tear, between them, so the body fills the gap with a more fibrous tissue that is the "scar." Bottomline, don't overdo!

Sorry, can't comment on the desensitization thing as I haven't focused on girth growth.

Typical media - they thrive on drama more than facts. Like out of the mass of doctors/researchers who have seen and published that PE works, they find that one knucklehead in the video shared on here last week as the "expert" to disprove and make fun of PE. Or out of thousands of successful PE-rs, they find the one guy who did something stupid and ended up in the emergency room with a messed up dick.

There is no new tissue and BS.
All is happening is a stretched out state of the surrounding tissues that results in a bigger expansion while the blood is entering the dick.
                      The same happens in length.

                        I appreciate the reassurance.
It is likely fake news from doctors who make their money off of penile implants.
I will just use my hands and take my time.
                        Thanks all

When connective tissue is stretched, especially for decently long periods of time, the fibroblasts on it are activated to form new tissue. The same happens with muscle tissue (myoblasts), and other tissues, even bone.

It isn't scar tissue unless you've done enough damage to qualify as an injury.
