Before jelqing (or any similar exercise) get full hard before hand. As hard as possible. Max EQ. Then let it subside. As you are getting softer, jelq at the level you choose.

Perhaps avoid regular jelqs right now and concentrate on V-jelqs. Regular jelqs are really more like jacking off then exercising, though they are an exercise. V's are far less erotic or stimulating, while still working your CCs. If the regular V doesn't feel effective enough, check out my signature for the UV. Using less pressure and reps makes it a fine exercise for beginners.
