Yes optimally you would reach just beyond the elastic range and then keep that state established.
But as the tissue changes the load needed changes too.
I think all gaining via PE will have some hardened cross linked etc. tissue as you can never hit all penis "molecules"/parts with the same perfect intensity/load.
That`s why PI's help to gauge where you are.
I know when I did too much and when I did surely not enough. Everything inbetween is hard to gauge and very individual and needs experience.
Starting out you need to get the whole Penis used to it. All weak links have to get used to it. blood vessels etc.
It's difficult to gain cause the penis can take a lot of stretch within it's elastic range. But the elasticity isn`t going back to 0 once you let go of the tension. That will take minutes up to days.. So if you do PE again it adds on.
That's why I would always increase time or repetitions before increasing load. It takes me 1-4 days to get into my best "gaining" state where it feels like I reached plasticity. Then I hold that state for some days and then I have to pause or cut back. Rarely I feel like I can hit it in 1 exercise.
Worst for me is to do 1 day on 2 day off etc. Cause chances are the 1 day on was not enough to make a difference vs. normal elasticity of the penis tissue.
Still takes weeks and months to see a minimal difference in size even if done daily good work.
Heat helps most times.

I feel weird discussing this issue. I'm one of the anecdotal cases. When I started PE--jelqing--I gained 1.5" in length and .75" in girth. I stopped when my wife said she was uncomfortable during sex. I don't know how it happened--does not matter to me.
As a kid (I'm 73 now) I can recall National Geographic pictures of some African tribes that had 2-3-4 inch disks in their lips or ears. They usually said that the parents or elders started small and increased the size of the disks as they grew. So, why not work on a penis? Slow increases in size due to almost continual stretching should seem to work. The anatomy of the lips and ears is unquestionably different than a dick, but does the principle apply?

During my first two-year PE effort many years ago, I grew from 6.5" x 5" to 8" x 5.75". I stayed at that size until ED struck a few years later.
After a serious case of ED, I shrank back from 8" x 5.75" to 6.5" x 5+" (using a VED w/construction ring to measure). Since Feb this year and covid, I restarted trying to overcome ED. I've tried many things but won't bore you with details. I was given an air pump with an acoustic wave treatment program and decided to restart PE. I'm using the VED (I hate constriction rings), the air pump, a Bathmate, jelqing, stretching, etc., to get ready for an implant since absolutely nothing (even penile injections) has gotten rid of ED. Last night I measured 7.25" x 6 (construction ring aided) after my 35-minute warm up/VED/jelq/stretch workout. Before my implant in the second quarter next year, I would like to get to 7.75 x 6.25.Last edited by kenj1947; 12-16-2020 at 10:11 PM.

From my experience as a tight cut guy the only thing that’s changed was the Looseness of the skin on my penis more skin able to stretch the more of the penis to come out. I’m a pretty easy gainer but I would of had a 13 inch dick if I didn’t have a tight circumcision. It’s all about what’s available on your body. More loose the skin the more that is able to stretched on to your penis.
