I just pull to my max stretch but I'm wondering if I should be pulling harder than that for a good stretch? I'm currently stretching behind the glans and the other hand at the base pushing against it holding the skin, so stretches in 2 opposite directions.

Unfortunately no one can give you an accurate answer in this.
You have to experiment and to find the max tension that is NOT making your flaccid being turtled for more than 2-3h after your pe session.

When stretching, grab your shaft about one inch below the glans and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel a slight stretch. Let your PIs be your guide as to how hard to do your exercise.
