I have already posted this under a different title but only after realised that the previous title "thick cord-limiting factor" may not have attracted the right results.
I'm new here and this is my first post but I think a very important one!
I have been doing pe religiously for a couple of months now and not had any length gains (not that I really expected to so early). But I have done a large amount of research on all pe forums and have come to the conclusion that I may not be able to ever gain length with my penis.
My penis has a slight curve to the left-which as I have researched is due to tunica albuginea on the left of my penis being tougher/more fibrous. So when I get an erection my right corpora cavernosa can expand more then on the left. The right side of my penis bulges out slightly compared to the quite straight line on the left-which makes me penis look more curved then it actually is. It is a very slight curve of 10^o or so. This is known as Peyronie's disease in more severe cases I believe.
When I flaccid stretch my penis the left had side is very solid and tight to touch-as if there was a thick cord was running down that side. Where as the right hand side is softer to touch and feels like it could be stretched a lot further if only the left hand side was not so tight.
For me it is like-imagine a ballon with a strip of sticky tape down one side before it is blown up. When it is blown up it is unable to stretch where the tape is so will become slightly curved. From my research I believe that this hardened tunica will never be able to be worked on and stretched.
So this is my dilemma! Do any of you have this problem and still have received length gains?
All that I can imagine happening is my right side of my penis just growing in girth and maybe getting more of a curve as the left side can't be stretched. Because if my research is correct this hard cord on the left had side of my penis which induces the curvature when erect is due to a connective tissue disorder involving the growth of fibrous plaques-a bit like scar tissue-which can't ever be stretched/altered.
Wikipedia Peyronies disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyronie's_disease
I found this on Thunders Place-but it held no answers to whether anyone has still made gains.
'For the benefit of those men who were ignorant like me.. it appears that when most men stretch out their flaccid penis with their hand the entire penis stretches out with the same degree of 'give', but for the rest of us there is a part that feels tighter than the rest of the penis - so that means when we try to stretch it part of it will be soft and not at it's limit, but another part will be taught and as far as it can go. If this includes you - the reader - I feel your pain, but I am here to seek answers with you.
The whole premise of PE being that the penis is like a balloon that we fill with more blood than usual to stretch it internally or break it down a little and then rebuild a little each time to 'grow'. Well, I know some men this works for, but it SEEMS to me at least, that if you have this so called cord then that analogy is OUT. No matter how much you put in the 'balloon', if the cord is restricting length then it won't get any longer.'
So please just let me know if you have a similar penis (with a slight curve and fell a 'cord' on one side when stretched flaccid) and whether you have made gains.
After all this research I feel very disheartened that I may never be suitable for pe. and only get girth gains (on one side of my penis)-I don't really need girth but just a little bit of length.
Thank you in advance for all your wisdom. I look forward to being part of your community

first of all Now to the matter at hand. I liked the analogy, it helped me understand much more. But it didn't add up at the end. It makes more sense that if you have one side that isn't feeling the pull because it it "too long", then after a while the short side and the long side will even out, and both will feel the pull equally. Not sure if this is true, but it seems more logical to me. Though I imagine this would take a long time, but it will definitely be worth the wait
Do you have Peyronie's disease, or are you just assuming? If you have read up on it it will be very clear if you just have a regular curve, or if you are affect with the disease. Other than that I am not sure what to say to everything you have said. You could try to do "my theory" of the stretching out, but there is of course a chance that it will make no difference. I would much like to hear other opinions on the matter!

Hey JJ, i have a curve penis to the left about 10-15 degrees with a downward curve and i have been PE for 2 months and have gain in length and girth. I started at 5.5 now i am at 5.9 length wise. So i don't think having a curve penis will stop you from gaining.

Peyronie's Disease does not usually manifest before early middle age and is characterized by scarring and hard, fibrous plaques within the corpora. Asymmetry and curvature of the penis is very common in adult men and is only a manifestation of Peyronie's disease in a small percentage of cases. There is some debate about the prevalence of Peyronie's, however. Some people suspect it is markedly under reported.

Hey man, welcome to the gym. You posted in one of those other threads your conclusion that you're unsuitable for PE. I'm sorry, but I didn't see any evidence presented that supported that conclusion. Look, this stuff takes time. Elsewhere on here is a thread about a guy working PE for 10 months with no gains. All of us are different. My left curve seems like some of the others described here, and I've gained. So I doubt the bend is a factor. While I don't use any devices, I've noticed that some of the extender advertisements include in their pitch that they reduce bending, so if this can be believed, then PE can change bends, and growth should occur whether you've got a curve or not.
I would simply recommend getting on a consistent routine and staying with it. It will take time. Approach it that way. Recognize that it will take time and don't try to get quick gains. For me, JP's 90 day routine was great. Good luck.

Thanks for all your responses!
But Dash and redbear. when you flaccid stretch and touch each side of your penis do you find one side to be very hard as if its limiting the stretch and the other soft? If you do and you have still gained in length (and not just ballooned on the other side) then I can put all my fears aside.

I may be slightly firmer on my left side, but it's really hard to tell. If you've got a significant difference, check out this thread: https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...questions.html
Big Al has a reference in there to a set of exercises that address curvature.
Again, pick a routine, stay on it for a while (several months minimum) and see what happens.

Yeah see mine is really obvious. When stretched touching my left side is like touching a piece of steal cord, whereas my right just feels like a soft sponge.
But i'll stick with my routine (been on it for over a month now) and give it a few more months.

Anyone else who has had trouble making gains with a left or right curve?
Or any success stories?
Would be great to hear your experiences

well, I have a slight curve to the left, but I'm doing PE and I'm satisfied with it. No big gains, but there are is some progress. (check my log) I cannot say that PE made the curvature worse. I'd say it's the same, but I do PE for too little time I guess to see any progress (few month and I think I was overtraining a lot at the beginning).
When I stretch my flaccid penis, both sides fell almost the same, I have the "cord" feeling more in the middle/up part of the penis, but I don't know if it's limiting factor in any way, it's also not that hard. I do have very slight upward curve when I had good erection.
The difference between the two sides are most noticeable when doing "bundled" stretch... when I bundle to right side (so the right bigger side gets down and the left side goes on top) it seems smaller then when I bundle to the left and the right bigger side gets on top, it little bulges out, so you really can see the difference. I'm trying to do the eercises with my both hands equally, so both sides are well exercised and I'll see in time.
I was never paying much attention to it, since human bodies are never symmetrical, I thought that one side of my penis is simply bit larger/longer, which makes it little curved when erect. My ex didn't ever said anything.Starting stats (Jan/Feb 2010): BPEL 6.5 MEG 4.9
Current stats (25.8.2010): 7.0 x 5.1
Current goal: 7.5 x 5.5
Long term goal: 8 x 6
