So I just finished my fifth week of JPs90 and while I'm noticing gains the number of red dots has DRAMATICALLY increased. During the first three weeks one or two during the week was common, but gradually the number has increased to a dozen or more all located on the very tip...all of which go away within 48 hours if I don't do PE. This past week I only did PE three times to try to find out what was causing it. I honestly don't think its the jelqing (if I go any lighter I feel like I won't be doing anything), or the what-a-grip I wear...but the edging. Has anyone else had this experience?
I'm going to wait until they go away and try a PE session without edging and see what happens. Thoughts?!

BIg Al:
"Little Red Spots- The occurence of little red spots are very common. Almost everyone that's done concentrated girth work has had to deal little red spots on the head and shaft of the penis. The spots, known as "petechiae", are the most common "negative" side effect from doing PE. In reality, they're relatively harmless. Why do we get them? Well, they are nothing more than little pinpoint-sized bruises cause by excessive compressing of the penis. As long as the spots don't get any bigger than a pinpoint, you shouldn't even bother worrying about them. Time, massage, and hot wraps/soaks will alleviate them. The occurence of little red spots is very common."
I recommend reading those threads, it wont take too long and you'll benefit from the information. Good luck figuring things out.

sounds like petechiae. are you on any medications to "thin your blood" (decrease clotting) or do you take aspirin routinely?

I sometimes get some larger than a "pinpoint". Sometimes I get some about the size of a pencil eraser that goes away in a day or so.
Big Al's article says nothing about the larger ones.
I get them from girth work.
Other than the occasional large red dot, all my PI's are awesome. So I keep supra slamming/horse 440ing/ etc.
Am I doing any harm by continuing to put this much pressure in my penis?

How much stretching do you do? I find that a good 30 minute stretch session reduces the chance of me getting red spots.
Starting: September 22nd 2009
BPEL: 5.5 Inches
NBPEL: 5 Inches
EG: 5.0 Inches (Base) 4.5 Inches (Shaft)
FL: 2 Inches for most of the day
EQ: 9-10

All the intense girth exercises eventually cause discoloring long term--I hear it can be avoided if you want to gain 1" or more of girth.
An alternative is probably pumping & jelqing--that probably wont cause the crazy discoloring that clamping, horse440's, etc cause.
A good warmup can help possibly--and doing things like very slow jelqs can help too (avoid rupturing veins).

Blink,
Everyone agrees the discoloration is permanent huh? I'm definitely getting darker.....
What causes the discoloration? The bursting of the veins? I'm not sure about that though cause the clamping was causing it, and I never had red dots with clamping.
I do the firegoat rolls. I think they just temporarily take the discoloration away though.Last edited by Chuck6877; 09-13-2010 at 10:14 PM.

It's not permanent. Try the firegoat roll.

A tight traction wrap can help too.
What happens is dried blood gets caught between your layers of skin. You need to 'wash it out' by massing it. It takes time to do this & cant' be fixed overnight, but it can be done. Check the firegoat roll for more details.
I think the traction wrap helps too, I'm not sure of the mechanics of why. I recall reading Bib's posts on thunders about how he used traction wrapping to get rid of discoloring.
Also, I believe there are some alternatives out there--ways to remove discoloring which women have already discovered & they have been using on their faces. We just need to find a safe one for PE... check this thread for some of my research in that area:

Blink,
Hate to ask more of you but how do you do traction wrapping?
