Thread: Gain BPEL but not NBPEL

Is it possible to gain length for my BPEL but not my NBPEL? I didn't gain weight so it shouldn't be my fat pad. The other day I measured my BPEL and it was 5.75 inches, up from 5.5. Now, it is possible that I didn't push down hard enough when I initially measured but assuming I measured correctly the first time why would I gain a quarter inch for bone pressed but my non stays the same?

I would say that's measurement error. I've had some fluctuations, but it resulted from gaining and losing weight. I made sure the first time to push down good so that I wouldn't be able to push the ruler any harder in following months. Once I start feeling a twinge of pain, I stop pushing. That said, I make sure I use the same ruler every month that I measure because I've noticed the plastic one makes me hurt sooner than the wooden one that I have.

Also remember water retention can have an affect. For myself, I am seriously dieting and finding that the NBPEL an BPEL are slowly converging. But I noticed several weeks ago, my fatpad simply became softer so that with the same amount of pressure, I had an significant increase. I measure about every 4-5 days, so anytime I get a sudden increase I remeasure later in the day. Then if it is validated than I feel it's not a measurement error but at least some body change. When that happens I don't post the gain in my progress log or signature until the next week. I've been pushing 5.25" BP the last several weeks and just this week i actually claimed I had got to that level.
BTW, I started with a 1.5" difference between NBP and BP and now down to 1.125". My goal is .5"
