So, today I got started on the 90 day beginner routine in the beginner's forum. As I was reading through the thread, I saw a lot about how erect I should be. Some said 30% for an exercise, 70% for others etc. I have a bit of a problem with these.

Is there any easy way to tell when I'm roughly 30/70% erect? I can't seem to really pinpoint when the exercises will help me most, and even if I think I'm around the right level I can't seem to stay at it. Hoping someone can give me some tips on how to find and stay at the correct levels.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any problem getting hard, just for some reason I can't seem to stop myself.
