I'm about three months into PE with a two week break about a month ago when I tore my achilles.
My original routine was JP90's pretty much as prescribed. Since I got back from my break, I've switched to the following:
10 min warmup (rice sock)
One minute stretch (straight, left, up, right, down) each side plus rotary stretches and helis.
10 min wet jelq (3-5 sec per stroke)
5-10 min edging
2 days on, one off
Basically, I've increased the time for each stretch from 30 sec to one minute, eliminated all vjelqs (they caused major discomfort) and switched my wet jelq to a time based session instead of rep based.
The reason for switching to a time based was I felt that 3 sets of 50 (which is actually 300 strokes total) was too much and my penis was getting fatigued after just two sets. Also, counting each rep in my head was majorly distracting. It kept me from focusing on my stroke and I would lose count constantly. Also, the time it took was very long (20 min or more) and would subconsciously make me stroke faster to get it over with.
My routine time went from 45min to an hour down to 30-45 min and that is a big deal as well because it was hard to find time.
I still have the same positive PIs (morning wood, high EQ, very short refractory period). One difference now is that after a session, I'm able to go straight to edging, achieving a raging boner in seconds and am extremely horny, whereas before, I was sometimes too fatigued to edge or even have sex. I don't know if that fatigue was a good thing or a bad thing.
What I like about my new routine:
Shortened time (this is a big deal for me because I don't know how long I would have been able to keep at PE if it meant one hour a day, 5 days a week).
Less "stress" on jelqing (I enjoy it...put on a little porn to help keep the EQ at 6-8...and it feels good to do it, whereas before I was just aching to get it over and done).
More stretches (with pulling a bit harder now, but not to the point of any discomfort) seems like it is working (my BPSFL is 6.5 from 6").
Able to go straight to edging or sex right after jelqing, whereas before I had to wait a while or it just wasn't happening.
My concerns are:
Is the "intensity" too low? Am I doing too little now? I haven't gained any size (only a couple weeks into this new routine) though I haven't lost any but it seems I've gained some SFL.
I'm stretching longer and harder now but is that bad news, even though I'm not feeling any discomfort? I know it's hard to describe HOW hard, but let's just say that I need two hands sometimes and my right arm does get a bit tired from holding the stretch. But again, no discomfort during or after.
Is the time "time" method for jelqs a bad method? Should I really be focusing on total reps vs time? Is 10 min too little? I'm definitely not getting the JP90 300 strokes in that time. At the slow speed I do them at, I probably get only 100 strokes in (though I haven't counted so i could be way off).
Appreciate any feedback.
