    I've decided to get back on the journey of trying to get some gains from doing some basic stuff. Not trying to do 3-4 different exercises, just tried hanging 3lbs weight for an hour sometimes while playing xbox, and used to jelq for 30 minutes with a pretty strong erection level while watching porn. I was reading today that jelqing with a too strong erection level can cause problems in the long run, which mad me sad, because I really loved the way my penis felt when jelqing with such a massive erection. I had no pain while doing it, or no pain the next morning. The only thing I might have been doing that was pretty dangerous was my grip around my penis was pretty strong, along with a pretty high erection level. I've ready so much stuff on some people can't keep a semi erection while jelqing without porn. I gave it a shot today while watching tv and just looking around and down occasionaly, and it seemed like I could keep a pretty "safe" erection while jelqing. I didn't grip it as hard, and instead of doing 4 sec intervals I did 2 second.

    Can someone please verify how dangerous it is to jelq at such a high level erection when just starting jelqing? and also what is danger with jelqing with porn. I mean if I get ED or w/e it is to a point where you can't stay hard, couldn't I just get a prescription for viagra? and what are the percentages of that happening?

    Cause tbh I loved to jelq at high levels while watching porn. It feels like if I'm trying to just use my brain to get a hard on its really not as fun, and doesn't feel as beneficial as doing it at such high levels with porn.

    Jelqing is not sexual, and that's why porn really isn't a part of it. I've only been at this for about 5 months, so take it for what it's worth, but erect jelqing has a reputation for causing a very high level of pressure. Moreover, plenty of guys get good results by jelqing with a good ol' floppy flaccid. Slower reps, too. 3-4 seconds or so.

    My saying lately is: Coax growth, don't force growth.

      Once you've become fully erect with that real hard shaft, then you've lost the spongy or elastic response of the tunica to a jelq stroke that occurs with only partial erection. That spongy or rubbery feel is kind of like a 'safety valve' for the pressure we make during the jelq. Trying to jelq at high erection is really pushing the envelope physiologically. Injuries such as burst veins (not just tiny capillaries) happen without any warning. Those vessels are pressurized highly during the jelq--don't forget about them.

      The problem with porn is that it tends to desensitize you, in the psychological sense, and often leads to guys having performance problems with a live fuck partner. Lose the porn and learn to use your own imagination for sexual stimulation, as needed, during PE. It becomes less necessary to search out the mental stimulation with time if you are in a good frame of mind during PE. Your cock will tend to stay nicely engorged during a jelq session without 'trying' so much to make it that way. Try to be mentally relaxed when doing your PE.

        PE should be done without the Aid of porn, if you are struggling to obtain a decent erection level without it then you have a problem.
        Also when it comes to jelqing, having to low of an erection level can make the exercise ineffective as you require a decent amount of blood in your penis to cause the bulge affect. On the other hand you do not want to jelq with too high of an erection level for the same reasons that Handcramp has said, a fully engorged penis can impose too much resistance against the exercise.
        As for your question regarding Viagra ... 'Do you not think that using this or any other perscription drugs just defeats the whole purpose'?

            I think that doing a injury sensitive exercise while paying attention to something else is not a good idea.

            Basically while you are watching porn your attention (be it sound or video or both) is elsewhere and it should be on your penis, so that you can observe the reactions and evident problems and not mix it with pleasure since when highly aroused (not the same when you have high EQ in most cases) you tend to be more resiliant to pain (or even in some cases find pleasure in it), and that can be a problem.

                No real hanging experience here, bigd. Why not post this one as its own thread, since it's a lot different from the main topic of erection level while jelqing?
