  • Want to start a routine but I don't masturbate

Hey guys, I've done a few weeks of basic jelqs and such in the past and I want to start up again but I have some concerns.

I haven't masturbated in 70+ days and I am not sure if it will be safe teasing my cock in such a way without providing release. I have wet dreams maybe once a week, but other than that I don't plan on ejaculating for 120 days or so total.

Any ideas about how this may effect me negatively? Jelqing and other routines seem like masturbation without release, and I know it's not recommended to ejaculate after sessions, but what if I don't do it at all?

    Please help. Age 23.

Not masturbating in 70+ days? That's really bad for your prostate among other things..

unless there is religous reasons why your not, it's healthy to masterbate from time to time.

even if your not permited to masterbate, it doesn't have to be to fantasy (main reason why religon forbids it)
to date, i have never had any issues doing jelq's. therse been no risk of it with me, if you have PE issues, we have a board for that to can can try to help.

Masterbation is healthy. I'm not just saying that. It can literally protect you against disease. Especially now is your twenties, it's the most important time.

          Benefits of Masturbation
          Masturbation Protects against Prostate Cancer.

Men who masturbate more than 5 times a week in their 20's are 33%
less likely to develop the most aggressive form of prostate cancer later in
life. A 2003 study by Graham Giles at the Cancer Council of Victoria in
Melbourne Australia found that the ejaculate helps to "flush" or rid the
          male body of carcinogens.
Bascially, you need to get your rocks off if you want to live!

Didn't want this to turn into a masturbation debate. There are many benefits to semen retention and not looking at porn. Plus I get release through wet dreams on average every 10 days.

I just want to know if anyone thinks it's bad to practice PE without ejaculating at all. Will my balls want to explode from the build-up?

            Thanks!

No I don't think so I'm afraid. PE becomes exercise and the sexual turn on component disappears. You won't get blue balls from normal PE, except maybe from edging/ballooning.

I don't plan on edging, but I remember when I first joined up last year there were talks of some people having ED from this. So I guess what I'm really worried about is whether the chances of ED increases if you don't masturbate regularly like most people do? Were there anymore reports of ED from doing PE, is it fairly common or...?

I think the chances might be slightly higher yes, unless you have many naturally occuring eretions. Use it or lose it kind of thing. I think PE would be a good thing if one didn't masturbate. It means your penis still gets exercise.

Yes there would have been for sure. There's always a few who say PE broke their penis. They don't seem to last long on here, but I could be wrong. I don't often look at the ED/injury sub-forum that much. A lot of injuries would have been prevented if the advice in the https://www.pegym.com/forums/beginne...ety-first.html thread was headed. There's a few other links on safety in the START HERE thread.

Religion or no religion, it's not certainly healthy to go for long periods without ejaculating. Doesn't matter whether it's through masturbation or sex.

Can I ask why the OP is doing this? You're 23, you should be jerking it every hour God sends.

You said you have wet dreams once a week.. that is your body telling you it hasn't ejaculated in too long so it does it automatically. It's a protection mechanism. And you don't have to watch porn to masturbate, I don't! Or you could find a woman to have sex with, that works too

Big thanks to all replys so far. Thanks for your input XitemeM.

I do ejaculate through wet dreams, twice this week, usually less often. I believe it's my body trying to find balance and that they will occur less often as more time passes. There's a pretty big movement going on on several forums due to videos such as this

                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSF82AwSDiU

and websites like Your Brain On Porn | Evolution has not prepared your brain for today's Internet porn.

My theory is that when you masturbate daily you are telling your body that you are getting laid plenty, so no need to improve. When you stop masturbating your body needs to find a way to release. You go into beast mode until you find someone to have sex with. Your test levels go up, your lifts go up in the gym so that you are more attractive to mates. You're much smoother around females because you need to present yourself well. You are also more alpha around males and you can sense it too because you don't want competition. It's a lot similar to how alpha males work in wolf or lion packs. I also believe your body gives off pheromones or something similar to let females know you are fertile.

I would much rather find a woman to have sex with than spend hours a week in front of a computer screen pretending :P

Pretty amazing actually that's why I don't want to stop for the sake of doing PE.

i think i will start a basic routine and keep it slow and easy and try to pay attention to negative changes.

Well if you believe not masturbating makes you more attractive, by whatever mechanism, you might well end up being more attractive just through increased confidence (providing you don't go so far as to come across as arrogant, which is a turn-off for most women). I would tend more towards the opposite idea, that not having any form of release apart from the occasional wet dream would turn you into a slobbering Neanderthal giving off desperation vibes that would have the ladies running for the hills. But perhaps that's just me.

All this stuff about semen retention turning you into some alpha-male wolf-man superstud sounds like a load of evo-psych nonsense, I have to say. And it's amazing how many people don't realise that ejaculating (from whatever stimulus) leads to an increase in testosterone, not a decrease. This is before we even get to the main health issue here, which is that very infrequent ejaculation significantly increases your risk of prostate cancer.
