    I was wondering why we use heat for warm ups and warm downs? what effect would coldness (in the form of e.g. ICE) have on the penis?
    I have recently bruised my penis/ capilary bursts and I am not sure if there is a venous leak aswell??? how would I know? Does coldness help ?

    When I sprained my ankle a few years ago a doctor told me I should use ICE to help the healing process this made me make this thread.

    Adding warmth to the penis allows the tissues to become more plastic, or able to deform and it helps with blood circulation.
    It's most recommended.
    Coldness restricts blood flow and makes tissues constrict. A little wouldn't be bad, but 10-15 minutes likely wouldn't be good.

    One thing you could do is give yourself the icey-hot treatment. Put a cold compress on for 2-4 minutes, then heat it up for 5-7, then repeat this a few times.
    I wouldn't use ice. I'd use cold tap water, since ice is intensely cold for the sensitive organ. You don't want to freeze it, just cool it.

    I know that Ice has healing benefits. It can help bring inflamation down, it flushes out the area with blood to remove any toxins, because your body is trying to keep that part warm. Interchanging between ice and heat is best for sports injuries. I'm not sure if this can be applied to exercising the penis, so take it with a grain of salt. I also know there are not many documented instances of people doing PE with cold. Cold might be a benefit to P.E.ers. anybody try cold?
