Thread: Just an Idea...

A lot of guys here think that the average girth is higher than studies show, due to the big girth measurements of a lot of new members. An idea just popped in my head. I remember that one of the first times I measured girth I used a tape measure, one of the ones that has the metal "hook" piece on the end. I realize now that that brings about a much higher girth measurement due to the metal piece adding distance; I once compared girths with a tape measure and tailors tape before I started PE and measured 5.125 on the tailors tape and 5.4 or so on a tape measure. Also, Im sure there are a lot of guys using shoestrings, drawstrings, and cords to measure girth, all of which will bring about higher measurements. Even using paper or dental floss can give a false measurement because of the extra steps needed to complete the measurement. Just a thought.Start July 2012: 6.3 BPEL, 5.125 MSEG
Current : 7.375 BPEL, 5.3-5.4 MSEG, 7.125 NBPEL
Short Term Goal:7.5 BPEL, 5.5 MSEG
Goal: 8.5 BPEL, 6 MSEG, 8.25 NBPEL
I am on a fucking Girth Mission right now. No sleep till 5.75 MSEG!

Also measuring in the wrong area, like around the base. But for me I measured wrong to the side of lower measurement (just under the glands) which shows me to be an inch smaller then my base girth. So that is a differeance between 4 3/8 and 5 3/8. So I had to redo my sig to show correct referance sizes. I would love to say I'm over 5.5 inches in girth but that's just kidding myself.

I agree. It is very easy to measure incorrectly until you understand the most accurate methods. Way back in the day, before PE, I measured length with the ruller against the side of my penis. Needless to say, I thought I was much longer than I actually was. Back then I never measured girth, I thought length was the only important part. But I did read that a thin cloth taylor tape was the best, so I went out and got one. I still use the same one I purchased back in 1999.(Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
(Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

Ultimately it comes down to doing it the same way each time, even if not totally accurate. Why, while the number may be off one way or the other, as you gain you will truly know you are gaining. Even if it shows you aren't gaining that will be helpful information regarding what you are doing, how often, and whether it is time to try something new. Mid girth measurements are certainly easier to obtain, as long as you measure the same area each time. If your unit starts large and slims down toward your glans, a mid girth measurement will obviously fluctuate if you move the tape up or down.
