  • how in the world of PE is 200 jelqs 10 minutes?!!?

i see on many peoples logs and routines, that they have:

    200 jelqs (10 minutes)

    wtf?!?!?

i am on JP90 routine and i am at 1 minutes stretches for each direction up, l, r, d, and straight out, and i do 300 jelqs. just the jelqs alone it takes me about 45 minutes with 2-3 seconds between each hand (4-6 seconds to complete one) are u saying that i have been doing my jelqs too slowly? i thought both hands equals 1 jelq???? i do 2-3 seconds EACH hand...im confused...are these routines they are doing just going really fast? i thought that wasnt recommended.
    really???

This is why I simplify the matter by merely counting the TIME I do the jelq's for. Counting is a nuisance and I can't watch youtube videos and count at the same time It doesn't really make a difference anyways, I experience awesome expansion with my jelq's even though they may be faster than what is "recommended" it is merely a recommendation.

I've only just joined here, but from my reading, I thought one jelq was just the one motion? So the way you describe it (with each hand) would be two jelqs as there are two motions.

1 jelq is supposed to take about 2 seconds, so 30 per minute, so 300 in 10 minutes. I still have no idea how many I am going to do or when to do them tho lol

The video is a poor example of jelqing. He is way too fast. An average penis is just under six inches. So take an average penis that is partly erect and maybe you are at 5 1/2" or so. Now at that length figure a five second jelq. If you are longer or shorter you would adjust accordingly. No way am I jelqing while looking at a damn clock to see what time it is or how long I need to keep jelqing. I do both. I know that 40 UJ's takes me four minutes, 40 UV's take six minutes for me. After each 40 I simply look at the clock to see if I am within that time frame (I already know without looking, but I double check anyways). However you want to keep track of your time or counts is strictly up to you. No one can tell you their way is the correct or better way for anyone but themselves.

nope. both hands equal 1 jelq.

I've done both the counting method and the timing method. I find that I have a more consistent speed when doing the timing method. If I know I'm going to jelq for 20 minutes, I just take my time and do my jelqs for 20 minutes. I find that when I count jelqs, I tend to speed up as I get closer to my goal number, almost like it turns into a race.

But as pointed out, there is no right answer, just do what works for you and find a way to be consistent with it

Some training programs consider two jelq strokes (one with each hand) "one" rep.

I have always considered a jelq being two strokes, and a stroke being one stroke
Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

For advanced trainees, it would be optimal to count both reps and time for the jelq. That way, you get a breakdown of the true intensity (effort/time) you're using.

A hypothetical example: if in one session you do 300 jelqs in 5 minutes (avg. 1 rep per minute), whereas the second you do 305 in six minutes (avg. ~.8462 reps per second), even though you did more reps in the second session you'll have actually lost intensity because each rep was done with less efficiency- assuming all other factors are equal.

Just a note on the above example- most jelq reps will likely take more than 1 second to perform in most cases

Jelq's are a girth exercise for me with the way I do them. I don't jelq as of now because it makes my ligaments way too sore when I'm hanging if I try to do them in between sets. All I do is hang and just keep my dick in my hand moving in between sets to keep it active. And yup!! Gained that in the past 3 weeks!

Trying to count is really tough if your concentrating on your PI's. I mix up the grips, angles, pressure, duration, EQ, and even positions so much I just go for 30 minute sessions.
Commit, start your routine, don't rush, and increase your length, girth, and ultimately confidence in the process. Key: Don't measure everyday and only measure 1X per month.

I prefer to count and have always done 200 jelqs and thought that was 200 strokes, maybe I've only been doing 100 proper jelqs all this time! I don't keep swapping hands each stroke either, I normally do a bunch of jelqs with my right hand, (say 5 strokes), and then switch to the left hand and do another bunch until my erection starts getting too low to be able to perform a proper jelq.

Also, the reason why counting is better for me, is because after every 7 to 20 strokes, my penis needs restimulating to get more blood back in. I jelq in front of porn to help me, but it can vary how long it takes me to get my erection back up from 50% to 80% each time. Sometimes it might take me 5 seconds, sometimes 20 seconds, so counting the reps that I do, at least means that I make sure each jelqing session is exactly equal to the previous ones.

For me, 200 strokes plus restimulation time normally takes me about 20 to 25 minutes.
