Seems like cheating of you do kegels and shit. I measure on the 2nd day I have off when writing down increase. Doing it after kegels and jelqs and stuff adds a lot.
BTW, I've been doing the 1st way. I will start measuring the 2nd way tonight, though I have done it before and I got the same result on both.

No, but I've seen a ton of threads discussing basically the same topic over and over again. I still say the exact mechanics of how you measure are irrelevant as long as you always measure in the same way - it only becomes relevant if you're more concerned with a dick-sizing contest against other members than you are with your own progress.

Right. But then why is it better to hold the ruler one way or another? I don't buy this argument that holding the ruler flat is going to give inconsistent measurements. (OTOH, maybe it is important if you have a larger fat pad, and I just don't appreciate this what with being a skinny bastard.) My main point remains: your absolute size, down the millimetre, isn't what's important - or rather, it shouldn't be. What's important is your gains. And as long as your measurement technique is consistent, you'll be able to accurately keep track of them.

If you feel holding the ruler horizontal, vertical or aligned to the rising moon at the autumn equinox gives you the most "accurate" length measure, then fine, keep doing that and base your gains on that. But I don't see how anyone can definitely say this method is correct and all other methods are incorrect.

****. I measure 7,2 - 7,4 when doing it the 2nd way.
Lost about 0.2-0.4 of my gains right there

yeah ... amazing ... haha.
I'll be measuring both, if I gain both in the same amount of mm each time then I'll keep on using the 1st way of measuring until I notice that it stops. If I notice an increase in the 1st measurment but not the 2nd, I'll revert to the 2nd and change the gains. It's the only way to be sure I suppose

I measure with both techniques and stick to the lowest common denominator. If I really skew the scales and change up some angles I can hit 8.3" or more.

haha wtf, you had 7.5 and 6.0 in starting. You already have what I'm aiming for with your 8x6
