Hi all,
Not sure if this should be here or in the ED forum. Mods feel free to move it if you'd like. Apologies in advance for the length of the post.
So I started doing the JP90 routine here in the end of January, and have been doing pretty well. I have been trying to condition my penis for some of the girth exercises later on (I'm currently 7 1/4" BPEL, 5" MSEG) and haven't had any issues yet. I was on a website the other day, called yourbrainonporn.com. First of all, it's an interesting read, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like the EQ problems I've been having could be related to this. Like most guys, I started masturbating and watching porn much earlier than I was sexually active. In fact, I didn't lose my virginity until college, and have only had a few sexual partners. I chalked EQ problems up to anxiety, but it was clear when I was with my most recent girlfriend long enough that we were perfectly comfortable with each other, and I looked towards other problems. Copulatory impotence, defined as the inability to get an erection (or a really pathetic one) with a real partner, seems to describe my problem fully.
To make a long story short(er), I am starting what is known as a 'reboot.' No pornography, no masturbation, no orgasm, no/minimal fantasizing for a minimum of 2 months. I'm not dating anyone right now, so that part of it won't be a problem. This is supposed to help the brain to rewire the whole dopamine/reward pathway that has been dominated by the novelty of internet porn and frequent masturbation. If I tried to masturbate without any visual aids, and no fantasizing, but on sensation alone, it would literally take me all night and I might not even be successful. With porn, however, my EQ is an 8+ consistently. Needless to say, I want to fix this to regain confidence and my sexual control.
Should I be doing PE during this reboot? Pelvic floor exercises? I'm interested to see if anyone else has had similar experiences. I feel like even to jelq and v-jelq (needing to be partially erect) takes A LOT of effort to do without resorting to porn. I don't want my PE to interrupt the reboot, as I feel that's the most important to my overall and sexual health.
Again, sorry for the post length. Any advice or comments would be appreciated.
