    Has anybody had better luck with gains from stretching than jelqing?

    The jelq is a versatile exercise that can be adjusted many ways for specific goals. The "general" jelq (moderate degree of erection with a moderate amount of lube) usually gives a good mix of both length and girth gains.

    Done with a low degree of erection and with little to no lube, the jelq becomes more of a "sliding stretch"- which is targeted towards length.

      Find which works better for you, I prefer stretching but that is me.

      Flaccid: 5"x4.75" -> 6.25"x5.375" for +63% volume

        Could you maybe elaborate on this? I ask because when i dry jelq without porn i cant really get it up to half or 2/3 an erection, not like i can wet jelqing. So you just keep it almost flacid and go through the jelq motion but pull to stretch it?

            I was wondering from people's success.

            I read going411by7 didn't gain until adding stretches and someone recently posted in the success forum about not gaining from the jp90 until adding stretches, in which he quit jelqing, and only stretched and made significant gains.

            I also am curious because:
            I did a 10min stretch/10min jelq ~3 days a week and gained 0.1 in 2 weeks.
            Then I did a 10min stretch/60min jelq everyday and gained another 0.1 but in 1 week.

            So that's the same gain but twice as fast..

            But...

            The stretch was ~twice as much, and the jelqing was ~12 times as much.

            Based on this math...
            I'd say I probably owe the gains mostly to stretching...logically.

            I am trying an increased stretching routine... And should keep everyone updated..

              You do not want to use porn for your training- it's very counterproductive. besides the many threads on the subject on this forum, please see The Detraining Effect: Understanding and Reversing Negative Habits To Improve Erection Quality and Sexual Confidence: Part 1

              You'll want a low degree of erection when you're jelqing for length. The greater friction of jelqing dry helps to contribute to length. You nave to be careful not to cause any abrasions. For dry jelqing, some form of post-training treatment with a mild vitamin-based cream or cocoa butter (or something similar) will help.

                Hey Big Al,

                When jelqing at a low eq, and I'm doing the stroke up the shaft and approaching the glans, should I feel a pull like as if I were stretching?
                Also I read somewhere (I forget where) that when doing a jelq, one should keep the first hand at the glans while stroking the second up half way, then let go of the first. Is this necessary?

                  I found stretching gave me a great workout for length gains, but I also jelqed afterwards even though I didn't want more girth. It seemed like the stretching gave me the length workout, but doing high fast reps (1 second jelqs but roughly a thousand of them) helped advance my gains. If I kept the same stretching routine but did more reps of fast jelqs, I gained length fast, never gained girth but that's not a bad thing for me.

                      Yes, though a bit of swelling towards the glans is likely inevitable.

                            Pardon me, this is interesting and i don't wanna make a mew thread regarding this. So being uncut the jelq is performed different?? And if I wanted length I should dry jelq? Sounds hurtful.

                              If you're doing the "wet" jelq, then a good, thick lube might allow you to stroke without too much of an issue. Dryer jelqs will require some alteration in the way that you do them (as described earlier in this thread) to avoid inadvertently placing the emphasis on the extra skin.

                              There are any number of direct stretching exercises that you can do in lieu of the dry jelq for length (see Penis Exercises | PEGym).

                              NO PE exercise should be done to the point of pain. If your dry jelqs are causing you pain, you're doing them wrong. A small amount of lube is acceptable (enough to prevent excess friction and skin issues), and you don't want to use so much force that it interferes with the stroke. For dry jelqs, extra care should be paid to post-training treatment- thorough warm ups, and a good oil or cream applied afterwards to ensure maximum skin health.
