I feel the need to make an important distinction here.
While any exercise will decrease EQ temporarily, just like masturbating or having sex will decrease EQ temporarily this is only temporary.
While like MrBB said in the long run length exercises can actually have a "permanent" decrease on EQ while girth can have a "permanent" increase in EQ.
Permanent is in quotes, because it can be changed gradually over time.
However the temporary drop from doing any exercise should only last a few days at most.
To accurately see what your EQ really is take 2-3 days off from PE, sex, and masturbation.
Any normal man will see a decreased EQ for a short time when he plays with his penis a lot, it just like any other part of the body needs breaks.

I have had the theory in my mind for a while that following eq religiously may hinder gains, as exercise that produces gains may temporarily hide them until you deload/recover from them.
Additionally though, eq drops that are extensive may indicate your overdoing it. Its a fine line.

I mean using your erectile quality as your main tool for determining if you should increase or decrease your workload.
For example, some people might reduce their workouts as soon as they see their EQ drop after a day or so

I agree, however there should be breaks occasionally for 2-3 days and your EQ then should be used to determine if you need to alter your workouts.
just not on a day to day basis.
