As the old saying goes. Working your muscles out doesn't make them stronger. It stresses them and then they rebuild stronger during rest. I work out hard every other day to maximize stress and rest. However, I do stretch on rest days. But if you are seeing good gains with your workout, don't worry about what others are saying. Everyones body is different.

I think you have to play it by ear and listen to your body always..
I believe long term PE vacations (1 week) are only for injuries and extreme workout recovery periods.
But if one wants to take a break beneficially, then 1-3 days should suffice.
I see a small, easy, light workout,, and then a week off, being counterproductive, because.. a) you either waste days that could have spent gaining, and/or.. b) the gains you may have made might start to fade from the nonexistence of cementation (sementation, anyone? Lol)..

I thank God for breaks lol, but that's good for you. 40 days of thinking then doing the same thing every day creates what they call an engram. You will get headaches if you don';t jelq LOL. Go for it. Jk,. rest good sir.

For me, the rule-of-thumb for rest days is simple: If there is no morning wood after I wake up (and had a fairly intense PE session the day before), I take a rest day, doing only some really light and short jelqs and stretching.
For pumping sessions, the decision rule is simple too - if after the two intro sets the penis taken out of the pump feels cool/cold and shrinks rather than stays warm, thick and heavy, then it means it's had enough before and needs some good rest - and the PE is over for the day.Initial (06/30/11): BPEL 6.1; MEG 4.1
