  • Does sitting straight on a chair give you bigger measurements?

I was doing a 30 minute jelqing session and got rock hard while watching porn. I measured several times to get my BPEL measurements..

The max BPEL measurement I had while standing up was 7.7 BPEL. But when I was sitting with my legs perpendicular to the floor, I measured 7.9-8 BPEL...

Unfortunately I let all the fluids out lol couldn't resist, but just wondering do you all get bigger BPEL measurements when you sit down and measure?

Also, when you stand up and measure, do you usually stand 100% straight/perpendicular to the floor or do you bring out as much shaft as you can by pushing your back/buttocks forward? I always measure while pushing it forward, it should make a little difference in NBPEL..

You'll get the longest length measurement in a position where your hips are thrust forward.

The figure all the way to the right in the URL below should give you an idea of what I mean. You can also measure this way lying down.

Yess that's how I measure..I still think BPEL shouldn't be affected. Am I right?

It should affect your measurement. In the other extreme, if your hips are thrust backwards your penis retracts.

First time i measured i was sitting on the chair. So for any lenght increase i will measure it the same way sitting on chair. Wich position would describe your penis lenght best? Standing straight up, or hips forward?

Measurement consistency is important, so your decision to remeasure while seated to track gains is a good one. You might want to take two sets of measurements to compare, though- one seated, and the other with your hips thrust forward (standing or reclined). From there, you'll have something to correlate the two measurements should you decide to switch over completely to measuring with the hips extended.

Similar to what Big Al says: it doesn't really matter how you measure, as long as you do it the same way every time so that you can compare them. I always measure standing up, for example.

I can confirm that measuring sitting the way you did can show a bit longer measurement. At least for me, but it's a bit inaccurate. I think the ruler can push farther in somehow. I get different results every time I try though and that's why I only do it standing with a posterior tilt. Always did that and it's more accurate to me.

Also, measuring while standing just seems more logical to me.

Yeah I always measure from different positions. When standing I always measure with a posterior tilt, I measured 7.7, makes me feel better lol..
And if I sit down and measure my NBPEL is less visible but there is two inches of fat pad so I got 7.9-8 BPEL multiple times yesterday..Also, my BPFSL seems to be about 8.5 so that explains how terrible my EQ really is...

The BPFSL can't really explain your EQ. I mostly have 9/10 or 10/10 EQs and my BPFSL is 7.2-7.3"

That's what my thought was too, I'm just looking forward to EQ gains cause I read in some thread that your BPEL should be at least as big as your BPFSL if your EQ is 10..

^ That is not true at all, there are many people like us with BPFSL much longer than BPEL, who have 10/10 EQ (like me)

It's been like this ever since I started PE

Well after measuring for almost 3 years sitting down it dawned on me that measuring this way would give me a slightly longer result... It really makes a lot of difference how you sit down, the slightest arching of your back will give you a different measurement.
So for consistency reasons (I had the hardest time gaining for the last 2 years, so I always tried different things and went on research) I just lately started measuring standing up and trying to not arch my back. It's a bit disappointing because measuring this way I lost 0.3 inches. But then again it doesn't mean that I objectively lost any gains because when having sex you will use a lot of different positions which will affect your size.
In short: I'd highly recommend taking measurements standing up because it's much more consistent!
