Everything in life is genetics, who do people have hopes and goals at all? You won't make it anyways.

There are a lot of huge differences. There was no question regarding "does bodybuilding work". That was a no brainer as you can see in any individual major differences when in training. Not only that but bodybuilding was part of many cultures in ancient times (not exactly to show off on a stage but mainly to display feats of strenght and in fighting).
What modern scientific research accomplished was narrowing down optimal ways to increase muscle gains and fat loss.
The problem with PE is that there is not even consensus that it DOES work. Saying "It's hard to doubt as I have seen it for myself" is not exactly iron clad proof, is it? And if it did work for you, why didn't it work for that other guy that did the same routine as you?

There are a lot of factors involved in gaining. Surely genetics is one of them, but there's also getting in the proper stimuli, *rest AND allowing enough time for growth, cycling your training for maximum, continuous gains, EQ, and your emotional outlook.
*I marked this because a good number of men take the view that, just because they [merely] recover from a workout that it's OK to train again. When you train, you need adequate just to get over the stress of training AND you need to allow enough time for growth.
EQ is a huge factor in gains. Besides getting everything right the first time, there are two situations where a trainee will make quick gains- when his EQ is high and when he drastically improves his EQ. The latter is likely more of a result of regaining lost ability that any absolute size gains.
Attitude is extremely important too. While there are some exceptions to the rule, men who put pressure on excess themselves to gain often create negative associations with tier workouts. As time goes by and the gains aren't up to the trainee's satisfaction, each session brings more resentment and frustration. This starts to impact EQ and creates a cascade effect. This is especially prevalent with trainees who get obsessed with measuring or comparing their penises to relatively large objects.
Before I proceed, I want to ensure that my next statement isn't taken as a recommendation. The exception to the rule that I mentioned above involves training under the influence of what is popularly termed as "OCD". Men in this state become so focused and creative in their endeavors to gain that they are able to transcend limitations like training with a lack of erection (often by using drugs like Cialis). They also develop a type of meticulous tunnel vision where there are no distractions to take them away from their training, and their focus is so fine tuned that they achieve the ability to train in a seemingly very objective manner- often disregarding serious emotional, physical, and mental side effects (not to mention potential emotional strain and damage to their loved ones) created by their obsessions. Ironically, some of these men have made some astounding gains with this method of training.Want One FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

The huge majority of men do not really believe that PE works and there is a lot of prejudice about "pulling your dick". And science is not done on forums. Probably most men would jump at the first opportunity to make their dicks bigger if they could, so there isn't a lack of interest.

Here are my two cents and let me just say I am no expert and this is my opinion based on my thoughts and experience. I don't think every one can run 100 meters or whatever in 12 seconds, I don't think everyone can be as huge as arnold or whatever the benchmark is nowadays and not every one will be able to grow their penis to be 9x7. However I do believe we can make huge gains in any discipline we choose through application of a tailored science and hard work(determination, motivation, patience, etc.). I know when we talk about increasing penis size most guys will be willing to do anything to get bigger, Here is the problem: Growing your penis is not an exact science, and much like body building and athletic performance the same routine and diet may not work for everyone in other words, one size does not fit all. PE is not an exact science yet, unlike body building(which has been researched extensively); however, forums like these allow us to share our trials and errors but ultimately it is up to the individual to find what works. Find something where you are not expending too much effort but where the effectiveness of the effort spent is maximized. There are a ton of factors like Big Al said, some that we know about and others that we may not. Saying something can't be done, or is impossible is just a limiting belief that will do just that, limit you. My conclusion is do your own research, stay motivated, where there's a will there's a way. Don't forget to rest.

I believe "most" people can gain at least something. For some they don't gain enough, or gains are to slow, and they give up before they find what works best for them.
I feel for the ones that work hard and don't see gains. I've worked at non PE things in my life that netted no gains, very frustrating.Start 1/16/13 - 6.1 X 4.5

Nice thread,
Genetics play a large role in where you will end up at after your training, but we all have the ability to be better versions of ourselves if we choose.
Arnold trained from a young age, it was his full time job, he had great genetics, he was helped to come over to America and learn from the best bodybuilders at the time, apparently he was injecting real human testosterone not synthetic stuff, he did not even go to his fathers funeral as he had a competition to either go to or train for (Can't remember which), like Big Al said tunnel vision.
Get your technique correct for whatever it is you are trying to achieve, and be realistic about what you expect to get out of it given the time you are prepared to put into it.

I think PE works, if you look at the African women who put the rings round their necks, they get extended necks eventually.
Its just you are extending the body, this does not happen overnight and takes a lot or time and effort.
